The Bachelor 18 Spoilers/Speculation - Media - Discussion

I hope its Claire, cause they said the other girls, Nikki and Andi were after fame and how so many of the girls had to fake liking Juan Pablo. Claire though seemed genuine
But heard its Nikki and no proposal at the end, meh... Reality steve even said Juan didnt go into the show looking for a wife but went in looking for fame, Some even say hes back with the Mother of his child and some said that was his plan all along.

RS is very confident and was even tweeting earlier that the "The crash and burn heartbreak Clare is being set up for is going to reach "epidemic proportions." ... Of course he was also very confident last season and we know how that turned out but, I think he will be on the money this time. There is way too much of Clare being shown everywhere tonight and in all the previews. Classic edit of F2.

I dont think this will be a succesfull show. I liked him a tiny bit when he was a contestant but not enough to be Bachelor and dont like him much now, since I read he wasnt really in the show looking for love. Dumb Hollywood turning this show into a big fiasco so now contestants go on for fame instead of love, reports of contestants faking to like someone. Read of a scripted part with Des's show where one of her suitors didnt have chemistry with her but was told to do a script like he was crazy for her.
I just want a REAL show, but think so little of it is real . At Least Des and Chris are making it and Sean and Cat

Ill watch Juan halfheartedly, I wont be really be into this season as I would like.

I really don't think it is Claire and I don't think JPab went looking for a wife...he is looking for a career in broadcasting. Lots of people go on this show for their career or for the adventure...very few are really looking for love...that is why is it is really special and amazing on those rare occasions when it actually happens.


As for the girls faking liking JPab....I'm not exactly shocked. He doesn't seem that into them and people pick up on that. Not to mention that there seem to be a few very bright ladies this season and JPab does not exactly come across as an intellectual.

LOL ! Thats what Reality Steve said about Jpab, that there wasnt much lights on in the attic or something like that, He said the smartest girls. Andi and Sharleen bailed out cause of that lack of intellectual stimulation and connection.
Whereas Des, I was shocked to hear many of the guys werent that into her, shes so beautiful ! Those who were there said they didnt like her lack of figure and wanted a sexier more wild, woman. lol
(shrugs) oh well. at least we hit a home run with Des picking Chris and Sean and Cat, I cant wait to see their weddings.

Thats what Im thinking with the next Bachelorette, why dont they pick someone that the majority of guys will trip over. Des was so popular with us ladies but from a mans viewpoint, they probaly want a Jessica Rabbit or young Pamela Anderson type. It might turn off the ladies but not me, I want to watch the guys tripping over themselves with craziness going after a girl. It will be fun.

And for the Bachelor, pick someone whos really a rich Prince , and cultured and intellectual and heartwhelming charming and genuine. I'd most definately watch that. a genuine Joe Millionaire type Bachelor.

As you say...different strokes. That's why I wish they would really cast for the specific lead. Only have people on who actually find that person attractive and are applying specifically because of them...as Cat was with Sean last season. But of course, then we would miss out on the drama that was Bentley!

As for your other wish they already did that...Andrew Firestone and Prince Lorenzo. I personally really liked Firestone's, but the prince not so much. It's really hard to cast someone like that since they really have no need to go on the Bachelor where they are manipulated and edited to death and generally come out smelling like a horses a@@.

English is JP's second (?) language, and he's not completely fluent. He tends to mumble a little bit, and I sometimes can't quite understand what he's trying to say. Very difficult to establish a rapport on-screen under any circumstances, but the odd conversational bits so far are very superficial and rather dull.

As for the next Bachelorette, I'd really like to see one that is strong, independent, classy and smart for a change. If ABC wants to continue its recent successful couple stories, I think thats the way to go. Also, telling by everyone's response to Andi or Sharleen, it would be a pleasant surprise if it were girls like them. Women who are accomplished and are finding their prince charmings.

Right?! If you have an a strong, intellectual, charming woman, this ups the ante for better quality male contestants for the Bachelor. Also, I'm pretty sure ABC's viewers would positively react, since ABC is known for their cool, strong women anyway.(Olivia Pope, women on Grey's Anatomy, etc..)

Keep in mind that everything we see and hear is edited. Sometimes they do have very serious conversations...Sean mentioned discussing faith with his ladies...that producers think we are not interested in or may be too controversial.  Plus, they have to have the drama and they consider those type of conversations boring. On the other hand, JPab doesn't seem to be the sharpest tool in the shed and the fact that the two most accomplished women dump him may just mean that that is the way of JPablo...superficial and dull.
