I think that he's trying to figure what she's trying to tell him.  Whatever it was would not work for him, so I really do think that Drew takes himself out of the game. We have not seen any SCs of Drew leaving and as I has posted before, if Des had eliminated him there would be SCs of his exit limo ride.

Maybe she just tells him what happened with Brooks and maybe he can tell that she feels a lot for him and that doesn't sit well with him. "It just won't work." Even though she tells him she's given him "100%".

To me this is the confusing part. If she loves Brooks so much why would she be trying to convince Drew to stay? Does Drew leave before her problems with Brooks, or after?

I don't think Brooks has a FD.  That's why the show had to make it look like Drew leaves.  Otherwise, all they have is MTP or FRC stuff to show for Brooks.

I'm sort of wording it wrong.  Yes, Drew is basically saying, I'm not going to continue.  Which is basically leaving.

Do you guys think Desiree will use the butterfly metaphor?  Total indication of final 1 to me.

Atem, the SC with BSG is in Portugal? If not as far as their one on one, I say all went ok. The dinner is spliced IMO

In Portugal, he's wearing a white shirt on the mountain and a ugly sweater at dinner.

The MOST famous metaphor ever used on this stupid show: Butterflies in the stomach. It's a way for the lead to give 'the one' a clue to keep in there without saying the L word.

He does look like he's being stoic and looks confused. But then what he says sounds more like he is the one breaking up with her.

More like explaining to himself why when Desiree can't.  The way he said it was so monotone.

That's a possibility, too. And she does look guilty at some points. And she is the one rubbing his back as if comforting him.

So Brooks comes back and/or she mends her fences with Brooks and she lets Drew go. Maybe when she says she gave 100%, she's just letting him know she did her best. She tried. She wasn't just stringing him along.

So when is it that the majority think this hurtful conversation between Des and Brooks takes place?  Prior to Fantasy Suite date since there are no screencaps?

Heck if I know . Maybe it is at F2 Chris/Brooks and maybe something happens btw Nate/Brooks or someone in HER family and Brooks feels like he screwed up and doesn't know how to fix it and afraid it will cost him Des. I am not convinced he doesn't have FD and LCD with Des they just don't want to show anything towards it because they want to promote the "uh oh Bres is in trouble" angle instead which FD/LCD would basically give away that all is well. When the Brooks thing happens, maybe Des knows her final decision and since it is not going great at THAT moment with her decided F1 she breaks down and says screw it all.

Everyone's ideas are good. I give up.
