Devotion to family sounds like Brooks....and could also setup the "why" he leaves or the the advice from Mom. Leaning towards family for Brooks.

That's not the same date. I think the 'devotion to family' is Drew. The advice from Mom is Brooks. We all know how close he is to his mom.

I am going with considers his mothers advice for Brooks. I think it was said somewhere that Brooks is close to his mom. Now I am just hoping that it is some good advice that we would approve of.   Now the baseball is a no brainer for Chris.

IMO, Brooks' mom's advice could be what leads to his leaving later on. It's what I've thought all along. It's something someone in his family says and feels.

Well, my guess based on all I know about them is that it might have something to do with being LDS.

So, Zak is the snowcone activity. Chris is baseball. Drew is devotion to family and Brooks has his advice from Mom.

I thought I had a solid theory but seeing that Drew and Chris get FD  & LCD has me truly stumped!  I just hope Brooks leaving isn't because he is questioning his feeling for her (or hers for him) because that would be really disappointing, IMO.

The one thing giving me hope is that I think Brooks is a sensitive guy and knowing what she has already been through (Ben, Bryden, James) he would not purposely try to hurt her by up and pulling a Bryden. There has to be something more!

I hope so. I hope he comes back. That could end up being pretty romantic. I would understand him having a hard time if his mom or family didn't approve or have reservations. It'd be hard. He's close to his mom and I'm sure he doesn't want to disappoint her. I really don't think it's because of any emergency at home. If it was some emergency, I would think Des would be a little more understanding. It doesn't sound like she understands and agrees at all. So, I think he feels like he can't continue for some reason.

When he leaves would he actually go home?

I am echoing another poster's comment, where is this Brooks leaves coming from exactly? Has this actually been said by someone?
