Sorry but I'm with Jillian on this... it's like the "private concerts"... too often too much!

Grown men reading poems on screen make me cringe anyway, but so many times from the 1 guy... just too much.

Im with you on the 'privat concerts' - they are cringe, but since both Chris and Des like poems I think it is really sweet and thoughtful. Besides I feel that Chris makes them romantic, yet playful giggling

In this relationship, Chris is the introverted one and Des is the extraverted one. Chris has the innate ability to help Des transition from one mood into another. Which Des will come to depend on Chris for, when she finds herself in a dark place. This interrupted date was likely the best thing that could have ever happened for both Des and Chris. Because Chris was able to show Des this very strong innate capability that he has, which she needs in a man for the long haul.

But Des being naturally more introverted, I am concerned that her having to take on the opposite role is un-natural and therefore would wear her and the relationship down. IMO

Is Jillian Harris crazy, how can you not love Chris and his poems?!

Jillian is lots of fun, but having watched her season I'd certainly say her picker was broken. Frankly, I dont trust her taste in men.

IA with Jillian. It's not that I have anything against poetry but guys reading them to the lead just makes me cringe and that includes Trista's Ryan. Singing a song they wrote is only slightly better imo.

So count me in for liking Chris' two poems. They are so heartfelt and show how she is always on his mind. I believe we have heard two so far and think we will hear at least 1-2 more.

I am not a fan of singing as my first thought is they are looking to promote a singing career. But nobody hires poets so I think Chris' intent is pure.

And I was aghast when Jillian picked drunk boy over Reid so don't care for her insight here.

Wow! U guys are busy this morning... I love chris' poems ... I think it depends on who is reading them! If Ben or james read one I would barf bbecause we know it wouldn't be sincere!!!! With chris, it's just sweet, playful, sincere, and heartfelt! I don't think he is seeking anything from it. Des said see also writes and chris has been doing it for years also.... I think it's just a way of him expressing himself ( esp in that environment where I know it's hard with all the other people around) and des said she needed an expressive man so I think he's a doll!!! Oh yes I do lol!!!! It's just something else that makes our sweet sincere chris his sweet sincere self!!!!

Oh and chris said he started writing during a stressful time because he needed to do something! I'm sure it's the same here! It's probably something to take his mind of of being in a house( and sharing a girl he likes) with a lot of other men! I'm sure it helps him to focus on what they have and not drive himself crazy imo

I agree with Jillian. This seems to be what he's latched onto to try to impress Des.

I'd actually say Des is more introverted. When she's with Brooks she does a lot of the listening and seems completely happy to do so. She says he makes her feel completely comfortable and that she can just "be herself". After an emotional week, he makes her feel good. He just lets her be herself and makes her laugh (a stress reliever). Dealing with the strong emotions was a very taxing and extraverted activity. I'm introverted and I know how an emotional day or week drains me; how much I just want to have fun after that. She really wanted that sledding date to relieve stress and get back to where she was.
