This was def my favourite episode of the season so far. I found myself smirking at Ziggy's cute little faces and things he said.
Must agree that it will be great to see Ziggy 'snap' next week:angryemotion:!!! Ohhh dear.... Haaawt!!!
hey sweetie..! to the bolded, guess it shows in your avi, huh? . I am surprise that this is your fav ep, despite the Bryden drama..?..
just curio, what do you think about DesGy connection/chemistry?...i know you dont really care...., but in case need to share, i am all ears...
Hi there! I know right, I stayed up until about 1.30am and normally I fall asleep at 11pm - damn you Chris!
The reason this is my fav episode is purley Chris. I love the way he present himself throughout the whole episode. I must admit, I do not really care for any of the other guys or Des so the Bryden drama was no big deal for me... (I think he had a girlfriend back home who knew he was going on the show?)
To be brutally honest, I do not think that Des has a true(?) connection with anyone but Brooks, and even that connection can be questioned. Des said that Chis and she are natural together, however, this was not reflected during their 1-1 date. I think both Chris and Des are trying too hard to fall in love with each other and I am guessing that is the reason why she does not chose him in the end. I saw someone in the forum (cannot remember who) saying that they are not right for each other - so true!
There is no point mentioning any of the other guys as it is obvious Des fav from the start was Brooks!
thanks for your brutal honesty!.......what keep me intrigued is why Ziggy in his PI keep saying about reciprocal feeling from Des?...why would he ever came up with that?....it just makes us even harder dreading at the finale...*sigh*. I still look fwd tho, whether they can let go on the next eps. I guess his failed past-serious relationship makes him cautious about the process. Regardless, i love him for the way he is... Keep ur post coming!!...

Last night, her date with Chris seemed really forced but I'm willing to give some benefit of the doubt that she was taken out of it by Bryden's interruption of the date so I shall see in Portugal and Antigua. But I don't like the thought of a proposal from Chris with what we've seen between them up to this point. He's a doll!

guess we should blame TPTB for that, right?...and Des just got so unlucky, Em had let go Arie last season, meaning this year is her turn to turn down a proposal. Since the rule is every other year should there be 2 proposals ..
i blame the producer for the Bryden`s drama, as i can see it somehow impacted the rest of the date
oh, and i agree 1000% on your last point.

Re: Chris Siegfried -Bachelorette Contestant - Spoilers - Thread #5
Chris got the first one-on-one date this week. This is a guy who has really emerged from the pack the last few weeks. He was a slow starter but has really made up ground and seems to be making an impact on Des. The date was going great until Bryden decided that not only did he need to leave, but he really needed to leave right then and there. So he set off to find Des to break the news to her immediately. I don’t necessarily think he needed to bust into her date to do this, but I do respect the fact that Bryden pulled himself out of this situation as soon as he was absolutely sure Des wasn’t right for him. At this point, taking up space in the house and on dates just isn’t fair to Des or the other guys. While Des wasn’t exactly blown away by this news she was upset by the realization that this can happen. Chris was put in a tough spot, having to help Des recover and also save his date. He did a great job pulling the situation together, assuring Des he was there for the long haul. Later that night when Des was explaining that she really needs words of affirmation in a relationship, Chris whips out a poem he wrote. This was perfect timing and Des really took it to heart. It was the icing on the cake for what had been a really good date.

i guess the awarded key-word for Ziggy by CH is : slow-burn, slow starter...(i am confused whether to be happy or sad about it!..lol...)

Re: Chris Siegfried -Bachelorette Contestant - Spoilers - Thread #5
Episode 1 :
I love a man who can make me laugh, so another entrance that was witty and fun was Chris getting down on one knee to then only wipe sweat from his brow and tie his shoe. Way to scare me and trick me all at the same time!
Episode 3 :
Chris Gets a Rose (actually, she put this special title for our Ziggy.just sayin)
That night I had really great conversations with everyone, but the highlight was my time with Chris. I didn't expect our conversation to come so easily. I felt like I'd known him for years. He was so witty and confident, and I knew I wanted to spend more time with him. Giving Chris the rose meant a lot to me and the slow dance in the park was the romance I had hoped for.
Episode 4 :
Another surprise came from Chris, who shared a poem that he wrote. I write poetry as well. Knowing we have that common interest was more than I could have imagined. He showed another side, and that left me intrigued.
Episode 5 :
I couldn't wait to spend a full day with Chris. It was important for me to see if we could have fun being tourists and just be spontaneous. I also wanted to see how he looked in a pair of lederhosen! Chris was so playful that I knew we could have fun together on a daily basis. And he was the perfect man to be there after my surprise visitor. Even though I know I'm dating multiple guys, it was awkward to be in the middle of a fun and random moment with Chris and have Bryden show up. My worlds were colliding.
Bryden was not one to open up easily, but I was shocked he wanted to leave. He seemed so reassured in Atlantic City. Bryden should have told me how he was feeling back in the States, before coming all the way to Germany and interrupting my date with Chris. I didn't know if I should be angry, sad, worried, or what ... but it definitely raised questions about the remaining men. Are they committed to see if this could work or will they also leave unexpectedly? I was caught off guard and I'm not sure I said everything I had to say to Bryden. I'm definitely anxious to see him at the Men Tell All taping.
Chris made it easy to forget about the distraction. He is so supportive and comforting. He handled the situation gracefully and like a true gentleman. Dinner that night was straight out of a storybook. The palace, the dinner, the conversation, and the romance were beyond my wildest dreams. I truly felt like a princess. Chris made me feel special while dancing in his arms, as if we were the only two people in that ballroom. I almost forgot about the date crasher.

wow, she did write whole lots beautiful things about our beautiful Ziggy on this Ep!!....:pinkaw::Clap:

Des and Chris are in a long-term soul-mate kind of a relationship. A characteristic of this kind of relationship is that it takes time to develop. It is a very deep and long lasting type of chemistry. This show pushes people into accelerating their relationships, for fear of losing out. Works totally against the natural process of a long-term soul-mate kind of relationship.reb wrote:murasaki1393 wrote:reb wrote:I have finally finished watching the episode... There are several other kinds of relationships that take off a lot faster, and I can see how folks would say that is chemistry. But it is not a lasting kind of chemistry. Maybe good for a fling, but not for starting a family, like the one Des and Chris are in.
In effect, what these reality dating shows do is deter the best kind of relationship, by forcing it to go faster than it naturally can. While at the same foster short-term accelerating relationships, which better fit the time frame and competitive nature of the show. Pretty indicative of the show's poor long term track record.

Thank you for this insightful analysis. If I can just add my 2 cents worth....yes, this show is like speed dating but 10 times faster and it may suit some people better than others; which leads me to Chris, who I think is not at all suited for the fast pace that this show requires and he's not about to change his style either. He's remained who he is, quiet, sincere, sensitive, funny but still dignified, very classy thus far. And I have always believed too, that the guy, more often than not, sets the tone for the physical part of the relationship. Much has been said about him and Des having only shared closed mouth kisses and I truly feel that's because Chris has kept it that way. I may have finally seen an open mouth kiss last night or not...the point is, it's not because Des doesn't want to give it to him but rather that it's now up to him to up the level of the intimacy of their kisses. JMO...feel free to discuss everyone.

I think is this correct on paper but in actuality all the "successful" couples coming out of THIS show have had the instant spark and chemistry from the start. Trista/Ryan, Ashley/JP, Jason/Molly and even to some extent Ali/Roberto (who lasted longer than most). Because when you know, you know. I could point to several couples that progressed "naturally" and still failed..Andy/Tessa, Andrew/Jen, Brad/Em, DeAnna/Jessie, Travis/Sarah, Charlie/Sara.
I think it has more to do with how you transition out of the show into real life and dealing with the spotlight and scrutiny that really determines a couple's longevity. I think it important to stay grounded and get back to normalcy as quickly as possible. That aside, I think the couples running around Hollywood and plastered everywhere are the ones most likely that burn out the fastest once the spotlight dims.
