I'm not looking forward to the James drama when it comes to James himself because I just don't find him interesting. But I think the big blow-up in the house might be fun. :Smiley:I like a little drama with my romance.

I can't understand how a group of grown men crying, bitching and throwing each other under the bus every other scene can be considered the best bunch of bachelors ever....but, we all have different tastes so a lid for every pot. I'm glad that you are enjoying this season because none of the people I talk to are. Personally I enjoy the seasons when we have the male bonding and comradery. There have been a few snippets of that here but not much. For me the guys this season come across as either big muscled meatheads from the Jersey Shore, uncaring jerks or preppy metrosexuals. None of which appeals. A man who takes hours to quaff his hair so that not a hair is out of place and wouldn't move if a tornado passed over his head does not put a fire in my loins!

I expect the bitching and cattiness during the Bachelor seasons because...well, that is just what women do on this show, but, the Bette seasons are supposed to be more romantic. The guys are usually more laid back and chill. They are supposed to take off their shirts and keep their mouths closed....unless they are making out. Worse, Des just doesn't seem to give a sh*t. She is going through the motions and making out right and left. She can't even muster any real...or fake...outrage when the fake drama hits. She looked bored out of her skull last night during that date with Ben and Michael and looked like she was wondering why the hell am I here and why am I not drunk. She could care less about Ben or Michael, or Brian and Bryden, or James next week.

I am curious if you watched other seasons and who your favourite bachelors were? Maybe we just have polar opposite tastes? Either that or my crotchetty old age is showing!

Are you talking about Drew? giggling

I do prefer the metrosexuals in real life, for sure. Maybe not the preppy ones so much, although they're cutie pies (Drew). But the slightly rough around the edges, sexy ones. Hugesmile

I think it's real drama. Not fake. I view Des as very confident and strong and I think, deep-down she's totally fine with some of the guys leaving, 1. because she is a strong and reasonable girl, and 2. because deep-down, she already knows who she loves. Now if Brooks tries to leave or does, that's a whole other story. Devastation central.

It is obvious that Des does know who she likes and just doesn't feel it with the other guys. Even Chris. More than once she's made him aware that she views him as a friend or a cute little boy, or someone who is just cute and nice to be around. More than once he's gotten that message and he's reacted to it. Brooks, she is just head over heels gaga, drooling over him and I don't blame her. The others, yes, she barely kisses them. Juan Pablo—he's just a kisser. He's trying to win her over with his kissing skills and charm (I don't think he's charming, but she does).

I love that every guy has something they try to do to impress her and reel her in, and keep her. Chris has found poems and he's starting to do them to death. They all have things they rely on. Brooks does nothing but talk and smile at her and gaze into her eyes. All he has to do is be around and he's winning. Can't say I blame her.

She was frustrated and bored on that 2v1 date with Michael and Ben, but it's part of the show and life to have the crappy parts. There's only one way she's going to know for sure.

And then sexy-locked and I bet great-smelling Brooks comes along and she's happy again.

I've watched a long way back. I didn't see Trista and Ryan. I found the show some time after that and have watched everything Bachelor ever since, devotedly. I liked Jef on Emily's season, but I could see that there wasn't much chemistry between them. I could see that Emily didn't really like him and I did not like her because of it, at all. I did not think she was good for him. I just didn't like her as a person, period. I also didn't like what I found out about Jef, eventually, that he really was in it just for fame. That cooled me on him. I probably would've gone for Jef no matter what, because I didn't really like any of the other guys, ESPECIALLY Arie (I thought his sucky-face lips were gross), but I did support Jef partially because he's from Utah and Mormon. I liked JP, Ashley's season. I truly did like JP (for her) and did see their connection all along. I didn't think JP was the most gorgeous thing ever, but I thought he was cute, had cute, kind eyes, and most importantly, I could see how good he would be for Ashley and that he was totally smitten. That's why I liked him. I knew he was the one for her. Most seasons, though, I never really got a strong favorite.

Brooks is just gorgeous to me. Even if he was spoiled to be kicked off next week I'd totally love him. And not because he's from Utah either, or Mormon, once again. But he's just so freaking handsome and sexy to me. I didn't really like Drew much at the start, but he's getting cuter to me as I see his personality. Chris is nice and so sweet. He's just a little too dorky for me. But it's the first season where I've been able to like/tolerate more than one of the bachelors. And Brooks is just who I would go for, totally, if I were still single and was lucky enough to run into him in real life. I would be like Desiree. Gaga. Staring at him. Wanting to grab his head and kiss him. He is very much my taste. He is the first bachelor in all the years I've watched that I can say that about, so I'm pretty happy about that. He even made it to my "Hey, Gorgeous" section of Pinterest dedicated to the not-so-many guys I think are gorgeous. No other bachelor is on there. Not many guys are on there. I'm pretty picky.

Brooks is just

There are many moods of Brooks, too. He always looks different and always sexy. These latest soccer pictures are just :fanningfan

If only he really did play soccer. Sign him up for Real Salt Lake immediately. giggling

Nothing is better than a fit soccer player and Brooks looks like he could really be playing for Barcelona in those pics. He's got the very lean, muscular soccer physique going on, and those long legs that have obviously seen some running time. Even his flying long hair is so soccer.

I've watched every season...and almost ever year there's a villain or two that the majority of the men dislike and complain about so I'm not sure what makes this season any different. In fact, the guys all seemed to get along so they were REALLY stretching with the villain thing when it came to Ben, IMO. Didn't think he was all that bad compared to other "villains" from seasons (Bentley, Kalon, Wes, Rated R, etc.). Perhaps, everyone is just tired of the same formula.

IA that the guys always seem to have someone they can't stand just like the women do. I don't find it worse this season other than there's 2 guys and not one. I think it's that they're concerned about Desiree being fooled so doesn't bother me other than I wish we didn't have to focus on it to the exclusion of almost everything else.

I always like a few guys every season and this is no different. I wouldn't put Brooks & Chris in my favorite list to start with but they're growing on me. Drew's been a favorite all along but the others I've liked are gone (other than that cutie pie Juan Pablo).

I do think Des really likes James so she's got to be bummed out about what the guys told her.  Her telling him that she knows what he said is the bombshell imo.

Desiree feels guilty for going after James and him crying. That's why she lets him come back, plus the show wants to mess with the other guys' heads with him coming back.

I actually wish I could skip this episode and get to episode 7 already! But, that's just due to knowing how it ends up.

Oh, I just have to add about the manipulation...we are not exaggerating when we say there is a LOT of it going on. Not so much scripted but manipulation of the lead and the players. What they don't get they edit in. You just need to see a copy of their contract and what it stipulates. After reading that sucker I can't imagine any sane person ever wanting to do this show but if you want your 15 minutes of fame...

I'm in total agreement with you. Another big downer for me this season is that I don't find a single one of the guys attractive, well except for JP. And so many of their voices grate on me. Those facts combined with the constant whining/bitching/tattling/need to protect Des this season a total failure for me.

I bet the date card with Zak will say something about them 'exploring their bodies'.  I can't wait to see Zak's reaction to that! :P

Who do you guys think is the 'surprise' model? Elan? rotfl
