Sean & Catherine - The Bachelor 17 - General Discussion

I guess Tom Bergeron was wrong.
I'm just about ready to take bets on the official break up date.   I say in the fall - when there is something big going on with the next Bachelor season.   Ben and Courtney announced their break up in early October.

Why not just try honesty and say - we're looking for more entertainment jobs in LA and we have no plans to marry any time soon.

It's funny how people are jumping on the fact of that the August wedding is being posponed when no August wedding was EVER announced. Never mind that they are now in Dallas with his family and friends and will be going to Cabo and to visit her family and friends in Seattle. I'm sure all their family and friends are in on the conspiracy to fool the public since all of them seem to feel they are the real deal?

He said that in an interview after DWTS that they were staying in LA to avoid the Dallas heat. I think they should wait until they live in real world before thinking about marriage. They seem to be on permanent vacay.

All of this is certainly true, but let's remember that Sean & Catherine have very little control over "their" wedding. TPTB determine nearly every aspect of the wedding: when the "official" announcement is made, when and where the big event takes place, most of the guest list, etc.  TPTB even choose the wedding gown designer, but Catherine gets to pick the dress.  It's only fair since TPTB chose Neil Lane for the ring, but Seanie picked which one. Of course this does mean that Sean & Catherine won't have to spend much time "sitting down to plan everything".  

As you pointed out, Ashley & JP did all of this while both were working and still managed to fulfill their ABC mandated appearances.  I'm a bit confused as to why Sean & Catherine don't have time to "plan" their wedding though.  Are their mini vacays, tweeting & IG duties and public appearances too time consuming to allow for wedding "planning"?  Inquiring minds want to know!

I remember people saying the same stuff about Jash before ABC finally made the date announcement.

I also remember that Ashley & JP were talking about dates earlier in the year than the final date and were somewhat frustrated at how long it was taking to work out all the details with the network, even to the extent they were considering abandoning the televised wedding.

From the moment that Sean & Catherine decided to have their wedding televised they relinquished control over the timing and announcement of the timing and many other details about the wedding.

I'm sorry Arie, I'm just a little confused here. Sean calls you his friend which I thought you both were but I find nothing you say friendly. And, I know you're on the wedding list. Like I said, I'm sorry, just a little confused over your friendship with him.

Ashley talked about a Fall wedding in the Hamptons!

It'll be fun after the wedding when they can start spilling some of the details of all of this.

 I'm not Arie.  I have no idea if Arie is friends with Sean.  They  seem friendly though.  

This thread is the thread in which posters are not required to say only friendly or happy things about Sean and Cat.  My post was commenting on the fact that Tom Bergeron said that Sean and Catherine were going to get married in August. But they're not.

It's OK to say negative things in this thread .  We have the expectation here, of not being criticized for our opinions about contestants.  Likewise, there is fan thread in which criticism of the couple , or of those who adore the couple, would not be appropriate.
