you didn't ask me, but I will bite... is making the person we love squirm a sign of how much we love them? not that there wont be a lot of ribbing later, like favoring tweets, making sarcastic remarks in her blog about him. I am reminded that one of the things these two have loved the most about each other is :: he(she) is so witty, he(she) makes me laugh, he(she) is so sarcastic, he(she) gets me.

no, I don't think making Brooks squirm when he comes back to right his wrong is the time to make him squirm. especially if the only reason to do that is to prove to the viewers that she is not a doormat.

At AFTR, all he has to say is that he is so grateful that she took him back because he almost lost her due to being a numbskull. All will be good in Bres world.

I just wanted to follow up on a post I made earlier about all the judgments on Brooks. It was actually nice to see some of the former people from this show not ripping him apart and actually acknowledging him for being honest about trying to figure out his feelings instead of just going for the "win." It obviously was heartbreaking to watch it for me as a Bres supporter but it also made me feel like this man cares enough that he wants to be absolutely sure she is the one for him before just proposing to her because it is time to wrap filming. I really think that HTD conversation btw the brothers was shown/kept in for this reason. "If Des was out of your life, would you fight to get her back in it, would you be able to live without her?" Nate's question seemed to hit him a little,"do you think you can make her happy for the rest of your lives"...Brooks kind of got a look. Maybe he started to second guess if he could keep her happy and it spooked him. I think Brooks got a little too caught up in the thinking part and ended up confusing himself which is not a crime and a very normal human thing we all do but it was enough to put in the the mind frame that led to the Antigua situation. The overthinking may have blocked his ability to just "feel". Does that make any sense? I think he started to come out of it after he left Des. The 'feeling' was starting to emerge over the thinking. Sorry this got long, I always ramble lol.

It's not long. I liked it.

I hope you're right about Brooks and everything. I hope it works out for them. I would love for this season to end on a positive note for Bres fans. I think we deserve it. We've been through a lot of crap. And we've seen a lot of beautiful things, and for that to end before it was supposed to is hard.

So, I hope for them, but also for the fans, that they are together, that they make happy bonds next week. I think I just need to stay in this happy place from now on and not venture out any further.

Good post. I also think that he thinks too much which confuses him.

Not long at all, Monica, and I think you hit the mark with your post. Brooks was too far into his head by the time Antigua was in view, but after the break up his heart started speaking to him and I'm sure it became louder and louder in his ears with every mile he drove away from where Des was. He began to feel that pain of missing her, realizing he is loving and needing to be with with her.

Yeah the paranoia and negativity is a bit much anymore. You would think Brooks totally trashed her and mocked her (ala Bentley) or had a girlfriend back home by some of these reactions instead of the human internal struggle he was having with himself. You cannot watch the show and tell that man was not devestated and miserable at doing what he at least at the time thought was the right thing.

And you are right dang it we deserve the happy ending! lol
