I've watched most of the seasons - skipped Ben's - and after watching last night, my impression with Des is that she is here for the fun of it and is not that serious about really finding someone.  Has anyone done a count of how many she has kissed compared to past bachelorettes?  Except for Brooks, her Final 4 seem to be the best of what's left after all the drama and men leaving.

Awww, there are some of us who like Brooks, and think he and Des are great together. She has a really good F4.

I just watched the deleted scene of Des talking with Drew. They had the over long silent pause, so they kissed to fill the gap, as is usual for her lately. I wonder if she is really more of an introvert and is needing some time to herself. Artistic people usually are, and if she is, then this bach format is probably extremely difficult where she has a fast pace with people in her face all the time.

Before anyone lashes me, it isn't an insult to say she's an introvert. It just means she gets her energy from her alone time, where an extrovert derives energy from being around other people.

Why would anyone lash at you? You are not insulting, just stating your opinion! And I think you're right, sh is probably drained of being with people all the time.

Oh I agree as she told Chris that she likes to go to cafe' and sit and write poetry..and being the lead is very demanding..get home 2/3 in the am from a 1/1.. Do some PI's..off to a group date etc....must be taxing on anyone..

Although I was not attracted to Drew on the first episode, he has been exciting me more and more each week.  I believe that Drew is hiding that he is a closet intellectual, talking about "tomfoolery" and quoting Shakespeare. The real test will be whether he uses the possessive pronoun correctly when referring to his relationship with Des.

If his grammar is accurate, I may drool til the end of the season!!

Likely will have to duck for this but after barely getting through 3 seasons where I found the leads truly boring I love Des as lead.  She is personable, fun and genuine and full of personality to me.  I do hope the kissing middle of the pack guys settles down though.

The edit isn't helping the season and the choices of one on one dates is terrrible.  That's my biggest complaint so far.  And the sources of drama aren't actually dramatic.  There aren't a lot of compelling characters beyond Brooks and Zak, who I think are both awesome.  Chris seems sweet and I'm enjoying him too.

But since I love Des and Brooks both separately and together, I'm loving the season.  If someone isn't into them, I could see why it would lose you.

Love this summary, straight to the point and I agree with all of it!

i think des may be an introvert as well but she is a fairly social one. non-stop parties would really tax an introvert.
