Which points out that there are benefits to using social media which is a topic we've also been discussing in this thread. A reality TV couple has to find some way to navigate the tabloid articles that focus on stories from unnamed sources of breakups and trouble in paradise. Though not the only way to quell these rumors, one way is an active dialog on social media that shows the couple is together and doing well; it's hard for a tabloid story to get traction when social media shows it's simply not true. Molly used the WWW and a blog to quell rumors before they could get started that Jason and DeAnna "had something going on"; Ashley & JP used Twitter to put any stories to rest that Cristie still didn't approve of JP. I don't know specifically that Sean & Catherine are consciously using social media this was but empirically they seem to be and the nose ring tweets are an excellent example of how they could be - to good effect.

I hear you, but think back a couple of months to the reactions that all of you had when Shay's blog/tweets did NOT include Catherine. You all were sure that Shay hated her. The fans who rely or live for social media do not always find an accurate appraisal of the truth. Not to mention that a media-savvy quasi-celebrity can choose exactly what to post (and what NOT to post) in order to manipulate what their followers hear. Not saying that SeanCat did that, but the possibilities are endless in that regard. **Think Fleiss and his tweets made to advertise his show even though they are huge exaggerations.**

I wonder how far in advance Katie tapes. Because I checked my dvr and they are not on the lineup for this week. I thought she taped in the mornings and it aired the same day, but maybe she's changed it and it tapes a week ahead of airing. I guess it doesn't matter, but I thought we were going to see them on the show this week.

In any event, I'm sure there will be lots of tweets, so at least we'll have that this week.

Went back to check the program announcement. It doesnt say it will air this week. They just said to join them in the audience

I guess I wasn't paying attention. I knew Sean & Cat were going to see Jason & Molly but didn't know why. Hopefully we'll get some notice because I'd love to see the show.

I wonder if Cat will still be nervous in front of a live audience. I think by now, she's probably gotten used to this kind of stuff, with the personal appearances she's done. So I have a feeling it will be a little easier for her.
