Re: Ben Patton - Ready For Love - Spoilers - Discussion
I agree with you all, the editing has been very strange. Don't shoot me, but I am still not sure about Angela. I think she is very career driven & not sure it will work if living between Tx @ CA. I keep going back to him saying that they had not seen each other much. I live between Houston & Dallas, and it is only about a 3 and 1/2 hr drive between the two. Plenty of little towns to meet in that no one would know who they are!!! Guess we all have to wait till tomorrow!

Stg73, I'm definitely not shooting you because you are seeing things the way that I see things. I could say that I saw a possible lovestory developing with Allie, but I can't say the same for Angela. The way the editors edited both Angela and Jenna is really strange if they are both F1s. It's funny, because Shandi received a pretty good edit and we could see things develope between Ernesto and Shandi. So what heck happened to the editing for Tim and Ben?????? :pullouthair: :why:

The sleuthing on that engagement pic is spot on! Ben took his F1 to the place he had his first kiss.

My guess is that the producers/editors may have seen where it was going for Ben and Tim, and felt that seeing ALL THREE story lines resolve early in the series would have made the series far too predictable for the audience. One out of three stories having less dramatic tension (if not fewer dramatic personalities) is one thing. Having all three stories being 'easy to figure out' doesn't make for great TV.
Not that this was great TV, mind, but I can kind of see what the edits were aiming toward: keeping the viewing audience a little off balance, making sure that there was continued rivalry between Team This Girl and Team That Girl, and so on. You keep viewers longer that way, rather than having them check out a few episodes early from predictability.

The problem with that type of editing is that the viewers feel "cheated" because they don't get to see the lovestory.

That proposal was wonderful, (!!) but geez louise the way he spoke about Angela at the end you would have thought she was his girl all along! I agree the editing was terrible.

You are so right. Its like he knew all along he was going to choose her. I guess they didn't wanna make it obvious to the viewers thats why they editted it like that. I must say the editting didn't do the show justice as all

ernesto said this on twitter
Ernesto Arguello @ernestoarguello 1h
@mi_a87 true. But the concept of the show was great, we all received advice. The other 2 couples have lasted!
So Angela and Ben are still together I guess....

Exactly!! Surely it was a great problem for RFL producers to have. The matchmakers obviously did a great job in finding really strong matches for the guys. Based on the finale for Ben and Angela, he pretty much said that he fell for her in that vineyard and didn't look back. I believe it.
