I'm glad (I think) that many of you are feeling the same concerns as I am.  I really like Catherine and I think she was a gorgeous spitfire on the show.  Unfortunately, I still have no specific examples of what Sean has given up for Catherine.  Love is a two-way street.  I want to see his side, but it's not in my viewfinder.

 Melisma, relationships are indeed a two-way street but to think that the amount of sacrifice each one will offer the other will be of equal value at any given point in time is unrealistic. Do I think Catherine gave up a lot for Sean? Absolutely. Do I think Sean should do the same? Yes, but his turn will definitely come. Sean will have plenty of opportunity to return the favor, even more so as a husband if ever they get married(betting on it happening). I love and admire Catherine a lot and because she seems very happy( based on countless observations from those who've met them personally), I choose to be happy with and for HER and her life with Sean.

Iploeg, I agree with you completely!  Also, I want to add what kind of a relationship a couple is going to have when one has to keep tabs of what one has given up.  And I don't believe Catherine sees her moving to LA as giving up something.  She wants to be with Sean because she knows that Sean loves her and will do the same for her if the situation were reversed.  Catherine is a very smart and perceptive girl, she won't be there if she has an inkling that Sean is not in the relationship 100%.  IMO

My take on this, and I don't at all mind  being corrected or being proved wrong - I truly hope that I am wrong (I've believed in a happily-ever-after for Sean and Catherine) - what I now believe is that all along, Sean has been seeking fame and money from his "show business" experience - and he has, for a long time, hoped to have a show business career and to make a lot of money from it.
I believe that Sean also hopes very much to stay in Los Angeles permanently:
"How ya gonna keep 'em down on the farm -
after they've seen Paree".  .;-)
 
I believe that Sean was blown away by the beautiful, temperate, all-year-around sunny Southern California climate - these pleasant aspects of living in Southern California.
I think that Sean is going to try his darndest to stay in Los Angeles, sell his share in his furniture store in Dallas, and if nothing else materializes, find a partner in Southern California to go into a similar business with.
 
As for Catherine, I read somewhere (I don't know the source now) some time ago that Catherine has always been very career-minded.
I believe that she is just as fame-hungry as Sean is.
When they are coupled together as fiancees,  IMO, they think they both have a much better shot of attracting publicity and offers in the entertainment industry.
Catherine, IMO, wants to make a lot of money too.
 
Whether or not there is a real romance still between them - probably only they know for sure.
But I think that Catherine too is very much gung-ho for the limelight - and fame!
 
Catherine was befriended early this year by the famous reality-TV star and mega-wealthy Lisa Vanderpump.
Catherine got a job working for a Beverly Hills throw-away magazine that Lisa writes for.
(If you live in Beverly Hills, they throw it on your lawn once a week.)
And for Catherine's birthday, Lisa hosted a birthday party for her at one of Lisa's restaurants - "La Villa Blanca" - in the heart of Beverly Hills, and she and Sean were guests at Lisa and her husband's breathtaking Beverly Hills home, nestled in the hills, in a gated community.
Catherine and Sean must have thought, "We're going to work so that we'll be able to afford a place like this, here in the L.A. area!"

I'd feel better about Sean's and Catherine's future as a couple if we learn in the future that they have moved back to Dallas!  Then I'd feel that they know what is important in life (JMO) - finding the right person, getting married, building a life together and, when they're ready, starting a family - with the white picket fence, of course.   :Biggrin:

And yes, there are certainly many happy marriages in L.A. - as many happy marriages there as anywhere else.  :-)
If they stayed in L.A. and had a happy marriage, their love story would be true and sincere.  :-)

Whatever works fo their relationship is theirs alone. Even if that would mean living anywhere in the worldwide world. Its how you face life and challenges to make realtionship work.I agree....commitment is the key.That is what Catherine looking for in guy and Sean had been vocal about that commitment since day one once he found the "one."

This is not the fan thread. It is always safe to come out.
I dont care where they live.  If they chose to relocate  to LA, they should just be honest about it and say so.   I take they did not do that on GMA.
