"Grace" I agree with your opinion about CH - or to put it a different way, a bachelor is way ahead if he DOESN'T pick CH's favorite. He seems to be ruled more by his non-brain side.

He did not get a thing in the Bachelorette. In TB, he got the wardrobe and I think he got minimum pay scale of the actor's union. I would say he got probably total of $15 thousand for 2 months shoot, and then probably was paid per diem whenever he needed to promote the show (AND promote he did!) Of course, the producers paid the hotels and airfare when he promoted-- but that's what every business in USofA does.

...and on top of that Sean had to pay tax on the engagement ring! again, no wonder Cat couldnt even look at the rock hahaha...she must be feeling sorry for Sean already. If they met outside TB, Cat would've probably settle for a simple inexpensive ring.

IRL, just comparing their jobs in Dallas & Seattle, Cath had more a career trajectory than him. Of course he is an entrepeneur so if it becomes franchised then that is where Sean will make his huge return. But toe to toe, careerwise she beats him.(that's why it is a big thing for her to give that all up!)

I think this also. She definitely beats him careerwise. Although, she probably have more opportunities now that she's in LA.

I also want to add that sometimes I get the impression from people (not from this board or from Sean) that somehow Cat should forever be grateful for being chosen by a white male. As if somehow she is of less value for being non white.

I have a feeling a graphics designer in Seattle or anywhere in the world, even at Amazon, doesn't make that much money, say $25-50K at top end. The creative industry as a whole is not lucrative unless you are a breakthrough artist.

Sean, although now only a small business owner and possibly an insurance agent (through his father's Allstate firm), has a much greater earnings potential long-term if he is as savvy a businessman as he is currently demonstrating.

Grace8136, my board friend Lakergurl is on the money..That is why the Mama was lukewarm to say the least towards the cat because the producers she was close to from ette to bachelor fed her bologna and cheese. Preconceived notions are very hard to forget.. Smoke and mirrors.

Mama is worried about the religious, family and lifestyle differences which is why Cat almost went home after HTD. Mama is not totally without reason there. They do have some differences on paper. But, think about who the producers are. They are liberal, grungy, hippie types. Do you think they have more in common with Cat (grungy rapper ex, seattle girl) or Ashlee? I don't believe for a second that they didn't like Cat and Elan has flat out said that, so I will believe it straight from the horses mouth rather than "sources" say.

Can anyone shed some light on Catherine's exes? What types of guys have she dated? I have a feeling based on what she said on the show that Sean is the most traditional and stable guy.

Good or bad, the press hasn't tried to chase down her exes to try paint a negative picture of her.

Sure, past is past but it does inform one's personalities and behaviors. Dating a rapper just means she's more edgy than how she came across on the show. I think knowing that Sean dated an African-American also reveals a little about him.
