I am painstakingly watching little bits of Emily's episodes, as I can only take vignettes of nonsense! Sean is pretty nonsensical too from what I've seen. I am glad Sean grew a brain.

Back to Emily I shall now call Emily chicklets as those veneers look like then chicklets!

What is that with so many oversized very opaque white teeth? One cannot even order paint that white,

superhontas, i watched the episodes when it originally aired... i never watched TB before in its entirety. when i saw cat and sean's interaction straight out of the limo i knew she was the one he would end up with. he could hardly talk to her. his body language said it all. i think it took a slow burn because cat wasn't actually chasing him around. and like every man he's as dumb as could be.

ME TOO! I thought y'all would say I'm crazy...not possible etc. I also considered the possibility that I felt that way because she bowled ME over when I first saw her...no one even came close to me. So I deliberately avoided being spoiled until after the Canada date when I KNEW I must be right! If I had been wrong I would not have been interested to watch anymore.

I saw that limo clip many times and i think we are reading too much into it knowing the end result. His reaction to Catherine's limo introduction was very similar to the other girls in terms of body language and speech.

Oh, and since I couldn't sleep I watched part of Emily's season.

1) Sean was so big. Meathead. He had a more distinct accent too. He seemed to be different personality wise too. I cannot pinpoint what it is so I will try to watch the whole season. I am just afraid my head will explode from the screech of Emily's voice.

2) Emily not only has an annoying voice-- her veneers are so thick that when she speaks there like a saliva lisp. It boggles my mind.


Am I the only one with these observations?

Sean said many times in interviews that he wasn't himself during the Bachelorette because Emily was such a formal, "southern girl" that he behaved more reserved and formal as well. He wished she could have seen his funny, quirky side. Hence, his advice to Desiree was to be true to herself.

In my opinion, if the above were true that he wasn't being true to himself, then how could he believed that he was in love with Emily during and after the show? Unless he "loved" Emily but not "in love" with her.

I thought I read somewhere that Sean picked the girls for the one-on-one dates. In my opinion, he picked the most romantic (Ice Castle) one-on-one date for Cat.

I totally agree with you. That's what i was thinking, the best one-on-one date and i love the date card says "let's find our fairy tale ending".

I don't know if Sean saw Cath video audition tape before they actually met. However, I know from a friend whose roomie works in TB, Cath was not expected by any of the casting to last beyond the first ceremony. She was just thrown in the mix as a politically correct filler with 3-4 other girls. So as she kept surviving every cutoff they were surprised and worried that she wasn't interesting enough to American audience (yeah yeah, because the TB producers wanted him to choose an unstable horny but bible thumping, g string clad, baby voiced bottled blondes with fake breasts). I guess they underestimated the characters of both Seancats.

To add to that, Chris H wasn't reticent about who Sean should have picked when it came down to Desiree and Cath. Chris mentioned it in several interviews. If I were Cath I would make sure that CH was in no way part of the wedding ceremony . The guy should not have been intervening at that moment, he is neither a therapist, nor a matchmaker, he is a host who happens to be a lucky man to hold on to a stable job. He's annoying.
And I've been annoyed with Chris Harrison from day one that is why I could never watch a complete season of TB till this year. If the network wanted bigger ratings, they would change the host. He's too familiar the audience is jaded.

This season I only followed the progression because I wanted to know if I was right about my hunch. I haven't watched the entirety of all the episodes from the very start, because frankly the girls and their fake cry cries were simply bad acting. Lindsey isn't even really from MO, she was living in Orange County CA for a couple of years before auditioning in TB.

I remember seeing Desiree telling Sean they were poor and they lived in a tent blahblah.. And then when hometown came, she lived in Newport Beach (very expensive zip code), the house was modest by CA standards, but the location of that house, the house was easily $ 800 thousand to $ 1 million. Did you expect me to believe she lived in a teepee 10 years before and her parents had little money but all that love? If they were indeed poor, is that even THEIR house? Was that a staged house? I am not the only person who lives in LA , who knows about Southern CA neighborhoods who watched TB and who took note of the inconsistency of the sad sad story and the reality.

Then there's AshLee who I thought was working from TX. I found out from a good friend, A worked on several clients in LA, and listed her business and home as in LA. So why the switchup and say living in Texas? The producers definitely were trying to make her look GOOD on paper for S-- geographically desirable, career mobility, sad sad sad over the top acting.

I am sure the producers underestimated Sean's ability to muddle through all that fake reality crap.



I am sure Sean saw through all of that from producer sponsoring, host meddling, handler steering. UGH.

Thanks for the "insider" perspective. In the first episode, I was also thought pleasantly surprised to see ethnic girls there like Selma, Catherine and Robin and figured it was due to the recent discrimination lawsuit. The only thing I could think of was that they had different ethnic girls there because of Sean's ex-girlfriend who was African-American which meant he was open to dating outside the blond hair/blue eyes mix.

Really big kudos to Sean for being very open with his head and heart during the process which he claimed he tried to do. He didn't resort to safe, easy choices that would have been so easy for him to do. This shows his depth and character.

Ain't that the truth!!? I'm consistently amazed at how much television UNDERESTIMATES their audience! It's as if they don't think America is ready for intelligent, articulate women who are also sexy without hitting you over the head with their uber-breasts, and/or drama to spare. That's why they've had such a bad track record with marriages...shallowness and lust gets old quick if that's all there is.

And I thought Chris was disrespectful to Cat in post-show interviews. Sean should have told him to cool it. I would have.

Yeah Chris was going to tow that company line no matter what. Even if you look at all the interviews of people connected to TB at some point in time... they would say that pick was unexpected or I didn't see the chemistry-- total denial that it had happened.

And what is this about Chris H discouraging Sean from taking the DWTS gig? [b]Last I heard, the Bachelor was paid zero, zilch. nada. [b] If Sean wanted to make $ from an opportunity, it was his decision. It was as if Chris did not want Sean to get somewhere. Typical Hollywood mean syndrome.

Really? Sean didn't get paid for The Bachelor?? So that means he got nothing as well in The Bachelorette...that aint fair. No wonder he's dancing(!?) himself to death and endorsing hydroxywhatevr and that tv dinner stuff to earn money.

He did not get a thing in the Bachelorette. In TB, he got the wardrobe and I think he got minimum pay scale of the actor's union. I would say he got probably total of $15 thousand for 2 months shoot, and then probably was paid per diem whenever he needed to promote the show (AND promote he did!) Of course, the producers paid the hotels and airfare when he promoted-- but that's what every business in USofA does.

So this probably explains the late one on one date between them. They kept hoping he would send her home. When he kept giving her roses each week they finally had to give her a one on one!

This makes sense. Also, not sure where I read this interview but CH made a comment once that Catherine "takes adjusting to" or something to that effect meaning it takes time for her to grow on you. This is surprising given that she made a lot of life-long friends in the house and I thought given how low-maintenance she is that production would find her easy to get along with too.

Overall, Catherine played it really smart and what sealed her fate were the love notes that she gave Sean throughout the show even from week 1. This meant that she was in constant contact with him even when they weren't together on dates and she was always on his mind. It also showed him her intelligence and humor in a subtle way that built up over time. She slipped through the evil production's grasps and planted the seed with Sean without their knowing. Even Shay was shocked!

It'll be interesting to hear what you think of Jef with one F although your views be may be biased given what we know of the outcome of that relationship. He did seem cool during the show. Noticed all the guys in the house wore hooded sweatshirts now after Jef did.

I read in several places he was paid $90K for TB. Emily, I believe, was offered $250K.

The girls got nothing. They brought their own wardrobe.

Previously TB would look for sponsors for the bachelor contestants wardrobe. Saks used to supply the wardrobe to the girls. But it had become such a mess, and I know this factually, as I know a stylist who worked for Saks that time. The dresses by and large would be returned in okay condition that they can clean and fit on models and showrooms. But there are bachelorettes who didn't care if they had their periods and stained the designer outfits. Some would even rip the skirts to make it shorter, or remove sleeves, they would do altering themselves with their bare hands and a kitchen knife and these were outfits retailing for hundreds some thousands of dollars. Of course some of the girls would leave with some outfits and pretend they didn't have an idea where that outfit went. So that was the end of that sponsorship.

Now TB says they don't outfit the girls in TB so they know for sure they are in there for love and not for swag.

Then why do they choose girls that are wannabe actresses? If they live in LA and they do not have a permanent job, and have no family ties in LA, it is pretty safe to conclude they are in LA to become famous.
