Well obviously he knew Lindsay wasn't the brightest crayon in the crayon box .

I think this lack of depth and intelligence were what separated Lindsay and Catherine in Sean's eyes. Linsday was perfect on paper in terms of sweetness, religious compatibility, similar family backgrounds, from Missouri (like his B-I-L) and adores him. However, the only glaring quality missing was intelligence.

I think Sean finally recognized this at the end of Lindsay's LCD which, according to him, was when he "received clarity".

Question for everyone: when do you think Sean made the decision Catherine was the One? I believe he knew it was Catherine after the FSD in Thailand when he got comfort from her that she was ready for marriage and would be willing to move to Dallas despite what her sisters believed. Before the RS, he told CH that he was "in love" and can see himself proposing at the end.

However, in post interviews and at the AFR meeting with Lindsay, he said that he received "clarity" at the end of his LCD with Lindsay. In one post interview with Catherine present, he even said that he kind of knew during the last week, possibly the last 2 weeks, in Thailand.

What do you think?

I agree that he knew after FSD, but he had to stick to the script before FRC and post show interviews.

mama has been delayed in her work project today. IT's a lot of stress when people have no concept of time.

anyway, in answer to when sean knew.

he knew after the canada date. you can tell by body language he was pulling away from desiree. and he even had a side comment if my memory is right that he was a bit annoyed with des checking on her status with him. des knew he had slipped away from him. when daniella(who cannot enunciate a full sentence ever) told desiree about catherine and sean sitting on top of each other, desiree knew she was about to be TOAST (burnt toast even)

When they had the dates in thailand, he WORE his sunglasses while on the raft with AshLee! oh gosh! Ash should have taken the hint!

superhontas, i watched the episodes when it originally aired... i never watched TB before in its entirety. when i saw cat and sean's interaction straight out of the limo i knew she was the one he would end up with. he could hardly talk to her. his body language said it all. i think it took a slow burn because cat wasn't actually chasing him around. and like every man he's as dumb as could be.

He said during the proposal that he knew from the beginning that he enjoyed spending time with Cat and that everytime they said goodbye he missed her.

I think he fought it because he wasn't sure if their lives aligned. He said in a VO that his and Cat's lives are different compared to the 2 girls but in the end he just couldn't say goodbye to her. On the Best year of your life segment on DWTS he said that he knew Cat was the one because he had no problem letting the others go but when it came to Cat he wanted to spend every waking minute with her.
