Amazing, there are no words to explain the meaning of all this for us Canadians.

What a memorable evening.

CBC is fantastic. They are now back to the Olympics to bring us up to date.

I have to say, CBC gets bashed sometimes, but really there is no better coverage for these kinds of events. They have done an absolutely awesome job with the Olympics and now the concert. Seriously the best station for an all around, global and national perspective.

IA @Sprite They are the best IMO. They are not biased at all. (Sometimes too nice for supporting other teams when it comes to hockey rather than the Canadian teams)

They aired all different competitions from all over the world along with back stories. yes

That was a good article. I never understood why they didn't make it in the U.S. either.

Friends of ours who live in Belleville were at the concert last night. I'm not much for big crowds but that would have been memorable.

Personally, IMO the reason they never made it in the US is because most of their songs are related to Canada and Canadians and their lifestyle. Songs include stories about small little towns, Canadian history, true stories of Canadians hardship etc. No one else would get it, and they really didn't care. They love their country.

For example during the break, you wouldn't know it was a break because they had a video of a thunderstorm with amazing lightening, shot up north in cottage country while they were behind stage changing. I spent many summers up north and you could always hear The Hip across the lake, if it wasn't coming from our sound system.

I kind of missed them for the most part. I was too busy having babies at first (missed Nirvana too) and then we moved to Nashville. I remember liking them but never had any of their music. I'm tempted to check it out now.

I'm watching Ray Donovan(Showtime) the episode from Sunday Aug21st.
They have a scene where Mickey goes into this guys mansion to steal money from the safe.
The mansion is Villa De La Vina. The Bachelor mansion. LOL

I have been at a secluded cottage with 8 of my quilting friends, all week. Can you imagine 9 women with 1 bathroom? We take turns getting the meals ready.
