The other is more "fan-centric" so the fans can enjoy BachLand as I'd like to call it. Nothing wrong with that, nor is posting your opinions here that are more observations or skepticism. You can post your opinions here as long as it follows the rules. This section was created for that. At least I think thats why it was!

Never? On the contrary, The Bachelor/The Bachelorette is shown here. Unfortunately, it is still Ashley's season :)

I got a pm mocking me, my country and seemingly too delayed "knowledge" of Bach/Ette shows (since it's aired only from Ashley's season)
I started watching Bach shows when I first saw Brad's first season. I've been a member of Fort since 2008. And this forum since 2011. Contrary to that someone, the Philippines is not backward as you may think. We do know how to use technology. I know how to download TV shows I want to watch. In fact, I'm updated (complete episodes) with all the seasons of Bachelor/Bachelorette shows. I download and watch this show (and other TV shows) AS SOON as it is uploaded which is usually a matter of hours.
Forgive me for my earlier (deleted) post. It seemed like I was "moderating" others Sorry! It won't happen again! #pinkyswear

There can be healthy arguments following the forum's guidelines and without resorting to personal attacks. Most of the time, it's the former, so I hope you stick around and continue posting here.
This is actually part of my question I posted upthread because 'outlandish' is subjective. Outlandish for a fan is perfectly logical and a reasonable observation to a casual passersby. I want to refer to the DWTS 2 p forums for example they are more similar in tone here but they are more snarky or dismissive to the couple in other forums. Its like they are not taken seriously almost.
I think what it is, is that here where most dyed in the wool fans of Sean and Catherine can be found and its virtually impossible for other people to get a word in edgewise. This is why I'm a little lost because even if I want to pose an innocent observation, they might be colored as a 'hate' comment for the couple which is farthest from my intention.

notguilty, the fan forum threads are where negative talk about sean and Cat is not supposed to happen, altho it does seem to be occurring lately there. here, it is okay as long as the rest of the forum rules are followed.

My personal opinion regarding Sean staying too long in the limelight is that of a visitor, overstaying his welcome. I'm afraid its not only here that
the restlessness of the fans is felt. I go to other forums and the speculation over his real " identity" if you may is much much worse. I think it will not go quiet even after they get married. Only after they have several babies maybe or like Jason and Molly, went away quietly and didn't invite much fanfare.
I just think overexposure is something they want to avoid if they still want a career in media after they get married. Sean has been overexposed and with the
coming wedding, they want to make sure that people will still be interested that is probably why they have the Tom 'misannouncement' on DWTS.
I agree with the overexposure but Sean is a smart businessman and by cultivating media exposures, he can promote his current and future businesses. He was quoted in the Mario interview this week saying he's a smart guy and will entertain any proposals that make sense to him. He is making money out of this experience which is fine.
However, this is a smart move professionally but not personally because the public will questions his true motives. For some reason, people can't believe that he can be in love with Catherine and be a media-savvy business man as well at the same time.

Love the bolded! I really dislike the glass half empty, half full analogy for several reasons. It has the implication that if you don't automatically believe everything that is said or presented, you are a negative person or have a negative outlook.
There are many reasons each of us perceive things differently and I won't bore you with the psychology theory. BUT, We have a brain that takes in all the information presented and then processes what it sees and hears, based on its own personal set of life experiences. Data supports that MOST people will not change their mind once they take a stand. Data also supports that their brains interpret the information in favor of that stand, even if it is the opposite. MOST people are not only unwilling to hear a new perspective, but their brains automatically reject it as being "wrong".
What I would love to see is people not only allowing others to have a multiple perspective, but honoring their right to have it. Showing respect for a difference in opinion does not mean you have to agree with it!
No one should feel they cannot post a respectful opinion in a discussion thread or be concerned they will be labeled a "glass half empty" person. Please continue to post and thank you to Love and San for continually posting the board rules that all respectful opinions are welcome!
ETA: I wanted to clear up when I use the word respect, I am referring to posting opinions that don't bash fellow posters. Contestants have always been fair game.

Because Zendaya is a minor her contract is public and someone I know researched and shared with me what she (and all the other celebrity contestants this season) get as a minimum:
Even if Zendaya Coleman had been eliminated first on Dancing With the Stars Season 16, she still would’ve picked up $125,000. Same with the other contestants of the spring 2013 season. How do we know? This is what happens when minors compete on DWTS — their contracts become public record, just like 17-year-old Shawn Johnson’s Season 8 contract was released, giving us a hint as to how much the stars make.
a breakdown of what happens after that initial $125K:
Weeks 3 & 4: $10,000 per week ($20k total)
Weeks 5 & 6: $20,000 per week ($40k total)
Weeks 7 & 8: $30,000 per week ($60k total)
Weeks 9 & 10: $50,000 per week ($100k total)
Grand total for all 10 weeks: $345,000
So this is financially lucrative for Sean - probably more money than he could make at this point doing anything else. That's a pretty good reason to do it. But not the only reason. In a recent interview Catherine's mother Cynthia explained that Catherine had planned on possibly leaving Seattle someday, maybe for Los Angeles or somewhere else, if she found a new job. So DWTS provided an opportunity for Catherine to see if LA was a place she might find the kind of opportunity she's looking for and there's at least some possibilities that I think she's uncovered; her friendship with Mark Kurian (owner of Beverly Hills Lifestyle Magazine) seems to have some business aspects to it. As I understand it Mark is a friend of Peta's so that's a connection that wouldn't have happened had Sean not done DWTS. I sometimes suspect that the recent uncertainty of where they plan to go after DWTS is over is not so much based on Sean's opportunities but Catherine's.
However, this is a smart move professionally but not personally because the public will questions his true motives. For some reason, people can't believe that he can be in love with Catherine and be a media-savvy business man as well at the same time.
I get that. The thing is Sean doesn't (and shouldn't) be concerned about proving anything to the public or the tabloids or any of us here on this forum; we don't count. The only one who needs to be confident in Sean's motives and feelings is Catherine.

Re: Sean & Catherine - The Bachelor 17 - Thread #1
The other night Tom mentioned an August wedding and there's much speculation about whether it was a slip or a joke. I seem to remember way back when they first aired the ATFR that August was a month first mentioned as a possible time and since then Sean has said no plans made yet but possible a fall or winter wedding. Does anybody else remember this? could Tom just be talking about old news?

I remember that as well as you do, and it's certainly possible that Tom was on an old page. I also remember that there was a date put out for Ashley & JP's wedding that was pushed back until December which was later than the earlier date they had suggested at one time. I think once a TV wedding is planned, the network tends to drive the actual date more than the couple does.

Thanks Cari! I know that the Philippines is definitely not a backward country when it comes to Technology and many other things. I was just curious because I know that current shows here are normally shown about 6 months late overseas. I just think it's cool that you're able to be part of this Forum.

I think I gathered that this is a fansite not a forum. And by knowing this I know now not to post anything disrespectful to Sean and Catherine.
Dispespectful may mean noticing Sean calling her babe, or some sort like that. Its pretty tricky cause you do not know what is 'disrespectful' in the eyes of the
fans. However, Im so sad to notice that fans can attack a member for being 'disrespectful' to Sean and Catherine, since the majority rules the non fans will always be at the wrong.
I think its fair to say a fansite has different rules than forums. Forums are free exchange of opinion without fear of being maliciously attacked.
Well, good day to all of you. I want to know my parameters when posting and I think I know what my parameters are.
