Episode 1 (Premiere) - 5/27 - Bachelorette 9 - Discussion - Spoilers

I have a feeling he is the life of the party and based on some of the whiners, cryers and general downers that I saw last night and from the previews, I understand why.

For me, this is one of the sorriest bunch of contestants I have ever seen. I don't know if it is just me and I am burning out on this show or the producers are trying too hard with all their stupid suggested M&G gimmicks they talk these people into...and they are stupid enough to go along with! Either way, I am not getting a good feeling for this season. I can only imagine the hell they will put Des through and I am not getting a happily after vibe like I did last year. Will stay tuned anyway ... and what does that say about me? Ugh!!!

Yes. I checked with RS and according to him Drew is F4 and Zack is F3 so FS it is. I can only hope that they get better as we get to know them, but, I'm not holding my breath!

I think Des did a good job last night, especially with Mr Fantasy Date man, and I applaud Will for being such a gentleman. Des seems to be a little more reserved, which might make her seem less confident, but I think she'll loosen up as time goes on.

The initial conversations are usually dull beyond reason and that is why we didn't see them. And that is fine with me. I do like some drama. Tierra saved a very dull season for me. And Jonathan (fantasy suite) was a highlight for me last night! Always room for an intertaining psycho. I watch for the love connection and drama. It would be like watching a chef make oatmeal otherwise.

The guy who dipped her will think his failure was the reason he was eliminated. Not so. He was not at all compelling. Had any of the guys she kept done that it would have been the no big deal it really was.

Totally agree abt the first impressions of the guys... Usually the pre-season sleuthing leaves us flat and the actual show turns a lot of us around (remember pre-season impressions of JP ) but this pre-season it seemed like she had a lot of great guys and the actual show makes them seem worse by a mile. Go figure - I'm kind of bummed because the man candy is usually the highlight of the 'Ette for me

Almost everyone seems crazy on the first night. Let's give them all another chance. CH did call Zak the Lindsay Yenter of this season so maybe he's not as bad as he seems.

But great sleuthers on this board identified a cap of Des and Drew kissing in Antigua where FS took place, but no physical evidence of Zak being there, so F3 /F4 is debatable.

That is it exactly! Usually I get more excited once I meet the guys since they seem more real once you see them talking and interacting with the lead, but, last night was the opposite. Maybe too many models and single dads and people with sob stories. How many models are in the bunch? Off the top of my head I can think of Brooks, Drew, Chris, Brian, Brendon. And there are about as many single dads. The producers just go overboard with a theme and usually it isn't a good one. I feel bad for Des because I liked her on Sean's season. I can only hope for her sake the results are similar on her own.

You are so right on that! Oh well I'm sure him thinking that will help his ego. He was rather creepy, but his comment about Mr Fantasy Suite Man was rather amusing, almost wished she would have kept him for the entertainment.

Could not agree more. The contestant pool must have been contaminated with hazmat. Add to that the cheesy stunts that were not endearing to the audience and prob not Des.
She should have looked at CH and told him that she was really breaking the rulez this season and was going to send 10 home (at least) to focus on the remaining 15 losers. Instead of sending the jerky FS guy home right then and there, she should have sent told him to meet her in the FS and say she would be right in, then sent in creepy Dr. Larry and the wolfman magician so they could entertain each other, of course locking the door behind them. I bet Elan would have gone for that.

I was really disappointed in last night's guys. I don't know what it is but I wasn't really at all impressed with any of them. Maybe their personalities overshadowed their looks and most of the personalities weren't that impressive. I was impressed with Chris, Brooks, Will, Brandon, Bryden,
not too sure about Drew.. I agree with someone else that he seems like he's trying too hard..

I stayed away from spoilers for most of the last 2 months. Last week I watched her interview with Jimmy Kimmel Live and based on her body language, I picked out Chris first then Brooks as 2 of the guys she was more into with Drew being 3rd.
After that I had to go to the spoilers to see if my body language read was correct. I guess it wasn't that far off the mark and I'm surprised as body language always changes and i thought for sure I wasn't going to get them right.
I thought I would like Brooks and Chris based on their bios and thankfully they did not disappoint. Though if someone on twitter hadn't spoiled final 1 for me, I would have thought F1 to be Chris based on her body language and how she was acting around him on Meet and Greet.

Jonathan the Fantasy Suite guy really creeped me out so I'm glad Desiree sent him packing. :) If he was creeping me out based on body language read and 10 minutes of air time, I can't imagine what Desiree had to go through all night with him at the actual party.
