Re: VO & PI's - Bachelorette 9 - Discussion
To the edit experts - do any of you find it strange that Des promotes her relationship with Brooks a good bit ala Ashley with Bentley? It comes off as though he's the only one there alot of times or the only one she cares about. Even in her blogs, she's always mentioning Brooks. I can't get past it - it's either to compensate for the date or dates he misses when he supposedly leaves and comes back (since the spoilers are he's F1) or it's another Bentley type thing/edit - not the bad guy part, but the part where she was so over the moon over Bentley and then he's gone and she's left to realize what she really wanted from a husband.
In Fleiss's interview he says:
As to the bolded, I know he's a master of BS, but seriously, so far it seems like Brooks all the way (ala Courtney)- even a guy at work who watches with his wife asked me why she's being so obvious about Brooks or why the producers are allowing that (also that it's boring).
Do you think it's because TPTB want everyone to know her relationship with Brooks is that far ahead that he can miss a date or so and she'll still accept a proposal because she knows he's the one? I mean normally, they try to negate the spoiler with their editing in some ways, but they almost want you to believe it's true so far.
In Fleiss's interview he says:
“It doesn’t make sense in some ways,” he says of the outcome. “It comes out of left field in other ways. But it’s the weirdest ending we’ve ever had, that’s for sure. I don’t know that Desiree is happy with it, or the guys are happy with it, but it sure is interesting to watch.”
“You know, like in Ben [Flajnik]’s season, you kind of got the sense that he was gonna end up with Courtney [Robertson], and it was kind of a drag that way. Not that exciting. I get bored with the show when it seems like I know where it’s going... I get like that with all television... but this season never gets that way with me

I think it's predictable up to Spain but after , it's obvious it will get sketchy. Things will be up in the air. Des might have options to chance her course. It's that deliberation and uncertainty that might give cause to doubt and anticipation over who Des will choose. That's why I said, it's not about whom she chooses ( Brooks), it's about how she came to her decision.

I posted today that I get a Bentley type feel about the way the Brooks situation is being handled.
Also though CH is the master of BS being a company man, his blogs and articles always lead the viewers by very subtle hints. I would not discount them completely.

I am with you. Someone pointed to me that actually Ash said was in love with Bentley but falling for JP on her season!... :shocked!:
so..yup,,- against all odds (read : the spoilers.. )-, i wouldnt be surprise if she chose Chris in the end. - her rock, always be there for her, total package/complete husband materials, etc.aka Chris is Des's "JP".

"I've been waiting my entire life for this moment".
This was Drew in the season preview. I wonder when it was from?

Those kind of sentences are from FRC when they walk towards the girl or when they're preparing to go humalbean99 wrote:"I've been waiting my entire life for this moment".

I had never thought Drew was at the FRC so am trying to think up another scenario for this comment and so far have not.

Could it just be the moment that he realizes he has totally fallen in love, and for the first time?albean99 wrote:bilolo wrote:Those kind of sentences are from FRC when they walk towards the girl or when they're preparing to go humalbean99 wrote:"I've been waiting my entire life for this moment".

Sounds exactly like an FRC moment to me.

I thought FRC initially because Ben Flajnik said pretty much the same thing on Ashley's season but Drew DID say this already (i.e. "I've been waiting my entire life for this moment"). Was it Madeira? Or Barcelona? I forget. I just remember hearing it and saying to myself "well... there goes that theory!"

We are yet to hear him say that. What he said via VO in Madeira was "this is the most pivotal day in my life" and even that I believe to have been taken from another time/day. I didn't see anything pivotal about his date in Madeira to warrant that comment, and that includes his so called edited and frankenbited (is this a word?) "I've fallen in love (insert frankenbite) with you." The first time he declared his feelings, for real, was at his HTD.
This has been one HEAVILY edited season overall.

Re: VO & PI's - Bachelorette 9 - Discussion
I am still searching for that one... I don't know where I thought I heard that line.
On another note:
The Final Words On Each Hometown... which I thought were interesting in their similar tones.
Zak:
Let us say that in five years down the road, Des and I are together… and I’ll look back at today as a perfect day. The first day I told her I love her. The first day that I gave her this ring that she’s still wearing on her hand. The first day that she fell in love with my family and my family fell in love with her. Pulling it all together in this one single day where it all happened, it’s gonna be the most beautiful day of our lives.
Drew:
Telling Des that I love her is a rush of exhilaration. Her kisses tell me she’s right there with me. She feels the same thing… and, um, it was incredible. It’s impossible to say goodbye to her. I’m overwhelmed by love at this point. I want my future with her and, y’know, I’m already picturing it. The next time I see my family, I will be an engaged man.
Brooks:
I’m excited more for the future than ever. It feels nice. It feels good… but after tonight, I feel like I don’t want her to leave. I just really want her to stay. Tonight was a big night. I feel closer to seeing Desiree and I together in the union of marriage than I’ve ever felt before. It’s awesome.
On Chris's hometown, THE WOMAN gets the last word in...
Desiree: I’m a little sad to say goodbye to Chris. I really don’t want to leave just yet. It is so great to meet his family and the day went so well. He does have everything there that I’m looking for. There’s definitely potential husband in Chris and it’s so amazing.
Uh oh... hope I don't start something-something here...
