Thank you for that- sometimes people think that just because they are on a computer they can say whatever they want because they are somewhat anonymous and forget about social norms of kindness. These are still humans with feelings- its really hard to judge someones character based on a picture.
I'm excited for everyone to meet Brooks, he is quite creative, thoughtful and funny and will be the guy everyone in the house gets a long with and loves. And I have to say I've been reading for a while keeping tabs but not posting but I just had to speak up, especially after he was being compared to Kalon -while they might have some similar physical traits their personalities are polar opposites. And you know how some really attractive guys just become ugly after you get to know them and their either dull or arrogant personality? (why I cringed about the comparison,) Well, the exact opposite will happen when you all get to "know" Brooks!

I haven't even thought about having a favorite yet because it's all in the personality, but I'm looking forward to getting a sense of who they all are.

Dmom, there are a lot of mean, crazy people on the Internetz that's for sure lol. The anonymity definitely gives them the power to spew really hateful or negative comments, which is why I don't take those people seriously. Thanks for sharing about Brooks. I can't to watch him on screen and how he is with Desiree! :)

Just looking at the pics of Desiree on her date with Brooks is all that a person needs to see that he's a great guy! Who else would do a date like that and do that dodgeball date and have fun with it?

I love Kasha posts, because she reminds me not to take this show that seriously.

There is nothing for me to take seriously regarding this show. As of yet, I have not had to rely on anyone concerning this show for my health and welfare, when that changes I might become more serious about it.
As for knowing these people and "judging" ---this can be said about them all, not a select few as I see it. All is fair and love and war--whether you know them/ don't, like 'em/don't etc. "Judging" by posting a photo is a concept that is quite puzzling--reminds me of the magic 8 ball.

I find Brooks attractive but he is my type. Dark features, comical, fit body (not to muscle-y Hugesmile

) tall, big family, etc. If I were the Bette he would have been one of my top picks too. Just based on what we know of him already.

I don't think I got to see the real Des last season. I think Sean's Survivor type of elimination process and the influx of sob stories clouded so much of the girl's personalities. You can tell Des has a deep side to her that I hope comes out this season.

As far as the marriage comment from RS: I don't recall Des saying she wanted to get married and have kids right away. I think things are going to happen for her after this process that she shouldn't walk away from. JMO

Yeah I felt like I saw a very surface side of Des. I saw she had the intellect, the wit, the humor, deep connection/emotions - but just not enough to make me truly believe her even though I did. I guess she wasn't portrayed as vulnerable as Catherine. So I'm excited to see more of her personality, especially the witty/funny comments because Selma said she really had that even though we didn't see much of it at all.

And yeah, I think all Des said she was looking for was "true love" - not marriage specifically. I think the whole "marriage" thing might have been engrained into our minds because of Emily's season and Sean's season. And recently of course Ashley & JP's marriage. Hopefully her and her F1 can try to avoid the media as much as possible, though.

That's why it's always better to just be quiet when we don't have anything nice to say. Treat everyone the way you want to be treated.

Brooks isn't my type, but if he's kind, genuine and makes Dez laugh I know i'll love him!
