Do you all think DWTS Cheryl Burke is in the running? I know she has expressed interest in various interviews. IMO I hope they choose someone from this season.

I really hope she isn't in the running. I would love if Lesley was the next and then they could bring Sean and Catherine on to help her on an early episode. Hugesmile

I forgot about that. I think with the success of Sean's season (higher ratings) they will choose someone to be the lead from The Bachelor 17.

I voted Lesley, but honestly I think the two best women for the lead from this season would have been Catherine or Selma.

Having Selma as lead would be a totally different season than we've seen before - maybe more like Jillian's. But Selma's made it clear she's high maintenance so maybe wouldn't bring out the best guys. Lesley's my favorite but not sure TPTB would choose her. The guys are why I watch the Bachelorette. I watch the Bachelor more for the romance possibilities. (How well does that work out for me? haha - maybe this season). I wish they'd have a couple gals instead of just one. Still think that'd make it an interesting show.

I think they have already said they would never choose Cheryl, that they are using people from the season just past and that would mean somebody from Sean's season

For better or worse, a lot of really great guys go for high-maintenance women. Look at Emily's season - that was probably the best group of guys ever, and Emily is pretty high up on the high-maintenance scale. Lesley would attract the most interesting real-life guys (she'd probably attract guys that I'd want to go out with), but Selma would attract the best made-for-tv guys. And I get the feeling that Selma's a tough cookie that's never fallen deeply in love, so if she really did fall on her own season, it would be interesting & touching to see her vulnerable side.

Another really interesting option would be Sarah, for the sole reason that out of anyone ever in BachNation, she's one person who'd really benefit from a nationwide search. In what everyone calls "the process", at the heart of its success (if & when it is successful) is that people nationwide are signing up to be cast. Even if producers are only casting 6 ppl for the lead, and everyone else for filler, personality, or villainery, those 6 ppl are maybe better match for Sarah than the typical 6 ppl Sarah could find on her own. Watching Sarah get her love story would be a highly satisfying experience for the viewer, so long as they could keep the "entertainment" value going with some OTT cast members.

I thought it would have been a great idea to have both Arie and Sean on the same show. Two different physical types, two different personalities, but both great guys. And, both had huge fan followings.

I think Sarah's high on the list. Besides all of the press that she's already received, I've noticed that she's been specifically called and promoted by Millsy throughout the season in a very positive manner where as everyone else is pretty much fair game for ridicule. Maybe he just really likes her but I am suspicious of anything that the TB crew promotes.

Leslie was high on my pre-season list. While I still think she'd be interesting due to her wit and smarts, I would now view her season as more of an Ali career booster season - given that her own father stated that she loves the camera and it's a natural fit for her seeing as she has a degree in Broadcasting. She doesn't seem ready to settle down yet to me but all for the adventure.

Would still love to see Lindsay because I think it would be a funny one and after the way the editing tanked this season for me, I don't really expect to see romance when I watch now since they obviously don't want to show it. I'd rather see laughs than a bunch of faux drama. Also, I think she'd honestly be pursuing a mate like Sarah.
