I like Desiree the best. I don't get what Sean sees in Lindsay, and I agree with the previous posters who said TPTB jumped the gun in thinking she'd be a fan favorite. I find her to be annoying, and it's just perplexing to me that Sean is so into her. Every time she's on screen, I become less impressed by her.

Desiree, Lesley, and AshLee are my choices (in that order) for Bachelorette.

I agree with you tiger. I'm loving Desiree right now. I really don't see ANYTHING between Sean and Lindsay. In fact Lindsay bores the heck outta me.

I also agree with your Bachelorette choices.

For me it's Leslie hands down, followed by Lindsay

I would love to see Kaci back as the Bachelorette. I should say Kaci from Ben season didn't really care for her in Sean season lol

From RS's blog today, on the next bachelorette, he thinks it is between Des and Lindsey, and still Lindsey's to lose.

Desiree starts to open up to Sean about life growing up and tells him her family didn’t have a lot of money when they were kids and she moved around a lot living in tents and trailers. I think it’s safe to say Desiree was already a fan favorite before last night, but that story pretty much sealed the deal. I still believe Lindsay will be the next “Bachelorette,” but if it falls through or whatever, you can bet it’ll be Desiree. I know there’s an AshLee crowd out there, but she’s not getting it. No chance. I think the marriage at 17 hurts her, the fact she’s a bit too intense and not as fun and bubbly as some of the others works against her, and not to mention she’s 32. I just don’t see them going in that direction for this show. I guess the biggest thing you could say working against Desiree is that in the 8 previous seasons of the “Bachelorette,” Ali was the only lead that finished outside the top 3 in her season. Every “Bachelorette” lead has been someone who was picked at the end, dumped at the altar, or finished 3rd outside of Ali. If they chose Desiree over Lindsay, I wouldn’t have a problem with it whatsoever. I think Desiree could easily pull it off. I also think Lindsay could as well, and this is Lindsay’s gig to lose. Sorry to disappoint any AshLee, or Sarah, or Lesley fans out there. Not happening. This is a two horse race, with Lindsay in the lead.

I think they'll go with Des. Lindsay isn't enough of a fan favorite at this point and they will need to get that contract signed before long. Plus I think that Des' back story could be a lovely "rags to riches" story for TPTB!

Desiree has won me over. Although I really won't mind who they end up picking. I love this show and no matter who the lead ends up being I will watch it.

Exactly the order I would pick.
I also agree with your opinion of Lindsay. I can't warm up to her at all. She's not on a Tierra level by any means, but she irritates me more every time she's on screen.

Me too! I loved how she told Sean about her childhood without expecting any pity from him. It was more informational, like yeah I lived in a tent and we were happy, so what. haha I always thought it was so unnatural for the contestants to feel like they have to reveal these devastating things that have happened to them in the first few really days (if we are talking literal here) of knowing someone. I have had terrible crap happen to me and more then once. It's shaped who I am but I'm no longer dealing with any of it nor does it affect the relationship I have with my husband.

Anywho, I'm with you lady! I really like Dez, but will watch no matter who it is.

I think Lesley would be the best choice with Desiree a close 2nd. Catherine would be wonderful if she wasn't f1. Lesley has the least chance because of going home so soon but thought she showed so much personality last epi. I'm not a fan of Lindsay or Ashlee & no interest in them being the lead.

I have to wonder why the show has been edited as it has if they want Lindsay to be the lead. She was barely shown early on. I'm still hoping that RS is wrong about their interest in her.

I can see the interest in Lindsay from TPTB perspective. She's malleable, she makes out when there is nothing else to say, she'll hop into a hot tub at a moments notice, and she will pretty much do anything TPTB throw at her with a smile on her face like it's the greatest experience of her life. I don't think it's ever been who is the more appropriate person IRL contest, it's a who TPTB feel they can work with the most contest. JMO My last point could also be applied to Leslie too tho (about being willing to experience anything).

You can rest easy in the fact that an F2 hasn't been the Bette since Trista. RS was also wrong about Roberto as the Bach too! Hugesmile

So let's look at this:

Trista F2
Meredith F4 (am I right on that one?)
Jen F1
Deanna F1/2
Jillian F3
Ali F4
Ashley F3
Emily F1

So the bottom line is that there is no pattern here.

Personally, I think TPTB might have been leaning towards Lindsey but they will pick Des. Yes, Lindsay would be more malleable but she also might be too indecisive/immature/flighty and would make it difficult to make a real story out of it. Des has some 'texture' to her and would be more interesting to a wider swath of their target market, methinks.
