Also, I think he took Lindsay to F2 because he knew he was going to pick Catherine and he also knew AshLee would be devastated. He didn't want o make her go through the FR ceremony.

Personally, I don't see a vast divide between Lindsay's enthusiasm and Catherine's teen gal squealing and love notes except maybe some winner's syndrome going on. It appears it is ok for one but not the other. When it's pretty obvious that they both seem to have an innate sweetness and fun loving personalities, in common.
I second all of this I agree Good Post . I think Catherine and Lindsay are so similar and I can see why they're Seans F2. It's sad because a lot of people here are biased.

Everyone here is entitled to their opinions.

We might not all like the same contestants, but at the end of the day we should respect other members view points.

I do, Love_Me. That's why I said I had been called worse when the other poster called me biased. I thought I was entitled to my opinion without being called names. : (

Well, I disagree. The reason I'm not a fan of Lindsay is that she doesn't seem very smart. She has made some of the most ridiculous statements this season and just seems, overall, like a dumb blonde. I'm sure she's very sweet and the girls seem to like her, but that kind of girl just turns me off. Catherine & Lesley were good friends because they're both bright, accomplished women. They're both well spoken. Yes, Catherine can be silly, but she's clever silly, not dumb silly. I would have been happy with Catherine, Lesley or Desiree as the next B'ette for this reason. No "winner's syndrome" for me, just am tired of women like Lindsay on TV and especially on The Bachelor.

I don't have a favorite this season and don't particularly care who Sean ends up being "engaged" to at the end. At just 24, both Lindsay and Lesley are very young. Given that Lesley has a degree in Broadcast News, I would expect her to be both well spoken and comfortable in front of a camera. I'd think that her degree in psychology serves her well in managing her responses in a measured way as the drama unfolds with the ladies in the house. Lindsay's degree is in Education and she's employed as a teacher, so I hardly think she is "dumb" or "dumb" silly. As to Catherine, maybe her degree in Advertising and work with Amazon gives her an edge in presenting herself in an appealing way to Sean.

Who knows? It's a scripted, televised dating show with an abysmal record for couples' success after the cameras stop rolling.

I know it's only a year difference but Lesley's actually 25. I find Catherine & Lesley as coming across as more mature than Lindsay but it's all subjective of course. I don't think everyone that likes Catherine is biased. I actually started out liking Lesley & Desiree more but Catherine moved up past Desiree as the season wore on. Lesley's still my favorite but Catherine's a close 2nd.

I really don't have a problem with any of the F5 -- Lesley, Des, AshLee, Lindsey or Catherine -- although I prefer Lesley, Des and Catherine to the other two.

I find AshLee too over the top in her declarations of love ... yes, I know that producers encourage that, but I still don't like it. She also comes across ... perhaps through no fault of her own ... as so serious and intense and trying too hard. Nothing that I have seen in her thread really shows her sense of humour or disproves that impression. I would not be thrilled with her as the Bette because her sad story would be repeated and repeated and repeated...till I was sick of it...although, I'm almost there now. Me bad! MF would put her through an emotional wringer and I could see her crying every episode. Not my idea of a fun, mindless show...of course there is always the travel and the beef cake so naturally, I would still be watching.

As for Lindsey, while I find her sweet and fun, to me she just comes across as too young. While the rest of the women, other than AshLee, are only a few years apart, she still comes across as much younger. Having said that, I would prefer her as the Bette to AshLee. I think she would be more fun and lighthearted although, I don't know that she would be as serious about the whole process as AshLee ... which might be a good thing! I think my issue with Lindsey unfortunately stems from the whole wedding dress incident, which was no doubt producer inspired. She was sloshed that first night ... whether from nerves or just to jack up her courage to do something she really didn't want to ... and she kept attempting to make out with a man who while polite, was not OK with it. Clearly, he no longer has such problems, but for me that was not a winning impression. While I see her and Catherine as both being very sweet, fun and flirtatious, the difference to me is that Catherine seems more reserved. She took the time to get to know Sean ... time which we unfortunately have not been privy to ... before she started the more physical aspect of the flirtation. That may not make much difference for some, but it does to an old fogey such as myself .. irrispective if she is F1 or F6 or was kicked off the first night.

Agree with everything you said Sprite. And I totally agree about AshLee too. Would rather have Lindsay as the B'ette than her. She seems so desperate, and I haven't seen a sense of humor from her at all. Sure wish tptb would choose Les or Des, but don't think it will happen.

FLChica -- You can be a teacher and be dumb ... Unfortunate but true. And your job title is not all that representative of who you are anyway. After all, Kacie's "job" was listed as "Ben's Season".

Oh, and Lindsay is a substitute teacher, which means she can't get a teaching job.

And before you all jump on me for being mean ... it's all in good fun! Praying

Iam sitting back laughing at these post. It amazes me how we can call someone dumb and yet we know nothing in real life about them. Each of these ladies have unique qualities that Sean was attracted to. Teachers play an amazing role in the lives of children, substitute teachers, and paraprofessionals. Lindsey seems to be the underdog this season on the board among the top 4. I like all of them and each has their own unique character and good qualties. Neither of these girls are smarter or better than the other in my opinion. As Sean would say God is Love
