Episode 4 - 1/28 - Bachelor 17 - Discussion - Spoilers

She comes off as extremely likable. And I think back to some quote that her father mentioned about it only takes a few seconds or being in the same room as her to know what a remarkable girl she is. And I think that really struck me because I don't know this girl at all, yet I often finding myself wanting to defend her when people say mean things about her. It's weird because I really have no justification for that, however, I will say that I think some people say the most naive or ignorant comments (in some cases) ever. I guess it says a lot about how she comes off on the show, the things her friends and family share, her twitter, etc.

But that still doesn't solve what that "IT" is that makes her different than the other girls? I would maybe like to think it's a bit of her weirdness and confidence that makes her a refreshing face? I think both Sean and Catherine if they are both genuine about their relationship and commitment and marriage, I could see them working out. I think when Catherine mentioned in an ET video about coming from Seattle and the community over there - it is liberal and people aren't going to settle or they just want to date around for awhile, while she is ready to commit. Then there is Sean in his own bubble, could find a girl in Dallas and get married without the show. But I think something about opening up and wanting something out of his bubble and comfort zone was what he was looking for. Of course they'll be obstacles, including distance, but I truly believe that both of their hearts were in the right place. I only hope for the best :)

I do say we recruit Sean to help us out, haha.

I think everyone has got it covered in this thread, but I will say that when Sean kisses her cheek (and also shown on her date in Canada in upcoming previews), something about it is very sweet. Some of his first kisses with the other girls are kind of make-out and their kiss is short and sweet, plus the added kiss on the cheek. Catherine said in her ITM that it was short, sweet, and perfect because it left them both wanting more and it opens up room for Sean to chase after her. I think she surprises Sean in many ways that he didn't expect and thus why he's so drawn to her. He laughs A LOT with her.. not sure what other contestant makes him laugh the way Catherine does. And Sean said she was affectionate, which I think some of the other girls are lacking. To be honest, I think she's really hard to beat (for Sean). Catherine has something that none of the girls have and I can't quite put my finger on it, but it is something!

Had Sean not picked her in the end, I still think she was genuine in getting to know Sean and she probably would have left as a classy lady. But I can't really wait for upcoming episodes. Their chemistry is undeniable and I can't wait to see how their story unfolds.

I love Michael Stagliano however I'm sad that he ain't shipping our SeanCat. (based on his blog for Episode 4) I'm seriously sad he doesn't see the chemistry the way we do BUT I still love him!

"kiss on the cheek' - Those kind of kisses seem like they might not be staged and hence more of a sign. Whereas I have this vision of every date that the producers say okay, time for a kiss and have about 6 photo takes.

I thought the kiss on the cheek was adorable and very affectionate. Do catch the new, lightened screen shots of their kiss on the Sean and Catherine photos thread.

I think those long kisses we're sometimes shown are the same kiss- on a loop- making us believe they're passionate- when they're not.

Just watched the episode but wow Sean and Catherine have a pretty strong attraction and they just seem to have fun i love it :)

She definitely made no secret about how she felt about that kiss- but then he didn't either (big smile!!!). I don't think we'll see reticence between them anymore, except for the sake of propriety in the group.

I agree - I was surprised by how comfortable they were already considering the utter lack of screen time. But then again, I doubt anything matters to TPTB in the long run except DRAMA = RATINGS = $$$$.

When I first saw this photo it reminded me of another photo I had seen before...Chris and Payton had a very similar photo that was taken (I think) on one of their early dates...at someones wedding as they were dancing...and we all let out a big awe sigh and put our rose coloured glasses back on.

Now I'm going to have to go back and do a little rooting around in the Chris and Payton threads to find it.
