The Bachelor 17 - Speculation/Spoilers - Discussion

My speculation/prediction is that Sean will be Bachelor #17 to not get married to the person he picks from this show either!

I have FAITH that he will pick someone who he will marry too! Okay this is how I see it.

#1 He's A CHRISTIAN-not to say religion has anything to do with the chances of him marrying the girl he picks...but I believe he's got GOD on his side and that GOD has a plan for his life. Rewinding for a minute...He had no desire to go on before but his sister and brother in law nominated him...for good reason. He's a great guy. He did it and now he's doing it again! This being said I think it was God's plan to have him to do this show. There's a reason for anything. Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord. "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."#2 Sean (not to say other guys that went on didn't want to get married but...) seriously wants a WIFE(Look at his interviews)

#3 He's got a GREAT family who supports him and great parents that raised him right. With his faith and family and friends watching I don't think he'll want to make a mistake. I think he knows that he's got a reputation he has to live up to imho. and that could be the difference between him and other bachelors that have went on.

These three reasons is why I think this unlike past seasons could end up way DIFFERENT. At least that's my hope. I hope Sean makes wise decisions and the rest is up to GOD and SEAN!

I agree with everything you said.Very well said . And I also think that he has a group of good girls who are there for the right reasons.

My opinion is on this show & it doesn't mean Sean isn't ready to be married or wouldn't make a good husband. But, 0 for 16 is just a hint to me.

I don't see Sean changing the streak. The odds are so much against it working out with any of these couples that it's more shocking when they stay together longer than a few months. I do count Jason/Molly as a success because they did get married after meeting on the show even if she wasn't his f1.

Yea I mean the fact that Sean would do the show in the first place, says that he is a little into fame. He did do some modeling and body building modeling too right? He might actually stay with the person never know though.

Me, too.

But I actually think they picked a good group for him, so I think there is a fighting chance of him finding someone right for him.

Still, there is no predicting that magic factor that turns someone into the right one.

Will hope, of course, but not count on it!

I agree that Sean is one of the few, if not the only one, who truly wants a wife. This clearly works in his favor. His religious roots also point to success.
One problem is whether he's able to pick which women are truly there to fall in love with him. Reading the bios of most of them says "Looking for TV exposure" even if not directly.

I hope this is the season that breaks the 0/16 streak, but that's a long streak for a show supposedly about finding your true love.
My doubts are much higher than my hopes.

Gosh let's be negative that does a whole lotta good Not... Let's hope that he is the exception he deserves it... He does not deserve another broken heart...I hope his faith is bigger and will play a huge role in his success!

Warning: the following is a differing opinion.

I think there have been several male leads and even more contestants who were sincere about the process and really wanted to find the "one". Jason, Brad 2, even Ben fell deeply in love and it lasted for a year.

I actually think Sean is one of the least likely to find a wife because let's face it...there's a reason he hasn't dated in 2 years. And it's not because he can't wait to settle down. I have no clue why he hasn't dated but clearly getting married and starting a family are not priorities for him or he would have been out in the dating world the last few years (and Emily doesn't count as he was apathetic towards her). It's not like he was in law school or med school and had no time. To me his recent past behavior is a huge red flag indicating he is not really interested and makes it difficult (for me) to take his season seriously.
