The Bachelor 17 - Speculation/Spoilers - Discussion

I just want to point out that I didn't post those pictures to put myself or anyone else in a position where they have to "defend" themselves. It was just for anyone interested in sleuthing and if you think its nothing, then its nothing. However, since someone asked, I will bring up this clue(?) we discovered back in december but dropped:

If you recall that in December we were discussing on Lindsays thread about Andrew Shull following her and trying to send a "secret message" to someone, probably the F1. Well, Andrew has since deleted those pictures and comments but I was able to pull the below comments (it was linked to his account, so the pics are gone, but it was a picture of himself and wife, from the thread:

"[ @ ] andrewshull Instadm is a great app because you can send direct private messages if both parties follow each other and have the app. "

....A day later (after Lindsay started following him)

"[ @ ] andrewshull For someone special. We'd love to talk to you...... 23h"
"[ @ ] andrewshull Instadm 22h"

Lindsay "liked" these pictures and some other ones. I highlighted the phrase "for someone special" because, several weeks later, mixandmatchmama posted a picture of her daughter with this caption:

"[ @ ]mixandmatchmamaShe borrowed some wrapping paper and tape and wrapped a present for someone special. #sweetgirl 1mon"

The thing is Lindsay doesn't follow mixandmatchmama nor vice-versa but she liked this picture and this one only that I have noticed so far.BTW this picture is still up on Shay's insta if you want to see it.

All of these could be nothing...... or it could be something. Be open!

I think Shay and Andrew probably preferred Lindsay over Cat at the MTP. because at first glance and on paper, she is more "suitable" for Sean. So I have no surprise seeing them reach out to her. Especially if (or in my case since I am 100% sure) as she was sent home as F2.

It is very difficult from Lindsay's photo to get a real grip on the distance between the railings, but it appears they are closer together from the photos I saw of the resort.
I don't care who Yawn chooses as his F1, so whether it is Cat or Lindsay makes no diff to me. I do think long run he would meld better with Lindsay, but that is solely my opinion based of what the editors have shown and social media.

Me too, but I believe the spoilers are correct, but am interested in what julychild has to say.

I definitely think this could be the case. I'm sure they liked both girls, but probably thought Lindsay might fit better in their family. No shame in them having their opinions as I think they'll support Sean no matter what and will like whoever he chooses.

As for Shay's picture of Kensington with her tree, I don't think that was a clue. More just the use of a very common phrase to say Kensington had a present for someone special to her like one of her parents, grandparents, Sean, her brother, or another relative.

I won't really speculate about who was liked better.... certainly I would think Lindsay would have been more comfortable meeting Sean's family.... first because being a General's daughter (and moving from base to base- OFTEN) makes one very resilient and teaches you how to meet people, and secondly because his family is in many ways similar to hers. Catherine would have been far more nervous and out of her element- no matter how welcoming the Lowe family was- and I have no doubts that they were fully welcoming. So they may not have seen the full interaction between them.

Of course, when we watch Catherine's meeting it will probably be edited to be some kind of train wreck- one difficult encounter or perhaps like Ali's season, they'll really like both, but someone in the family will prefer Lindsay in the post-meeting debrief.

I do remember the "reaching out". Shay has also reached out to Emily on Twitter. They are just a really friendly, welcoming family. I think once they've created a bridge, they don't burn it.

I even noticed yesterday in her hometown recap that she seemed to me to favor Lindsay. Since Lindsay is "from" MO she stated "little old Andrew representing Missouri by himself...he needs someone else to be on his team " She also said this which she said about none of the others "over here at the Shull house, so Lindsay would fit right in!" I am certain that Shay is the best sister ever obviously we have seen that. I feel they are all supportive of Sean but a part of me feels that for at least Shay/Andrew Lindsay was a favorite which kinda stinks for Catherine.
I hope she has thick skin b/c this week has not been kind in regards of public opinion for "who is right for Sean" in everyone else's eyes. Everyone (including CH and his stupid blog) were like "Des is the one" blah blah blah

On the other hand, this is what she says about Catherine and her family (nothing but respect):

My favorite part of this date was the honesty of Catherine's family. I am not one to sugarcoat things, so I appreciate how honest and direct her family was. It's tempting to just go along with things since cameras are there...so I highly respect them for being truthful despite the cameras and crew filming them. They really showed how much they love Catherine and really had her best interests at heart. From Shay Shull blog

The honest truth is that none of us here knows the whole truth or how Shay and Andrew feels or felt about anyone. We simply do not know!! Please, let's not make comments that could possible cast aspersion and hurt these people. I regret starting this conversation, I really do.

M. Sorry you feel bad. I think we can never know for sure til the final rose is given out. A good photo throw out for discussion is good thing :)

I wish you wouldn't feel bad about it. These small clues are the kind of things we should be examining on this board.

I'm not convinced that Sean chooses Catherine, and think Lindsay seems more like his type, (don't get me wrong - I think Cat is adorable) so I like the idea of continuing to look at all the possibilities. And in no way do I mean any insult to Love_me or Sophie's spoilers!
