The Bachelor 17 - Speculation/Spoilers - Discussion

Question is: did Sean know without a doubt by then? I think he would have had a really hard time going through the motions if he'd fallen in love with someone already.... Yes, I believe he would have had a harder time than most of the guys. Through the magic of editing, we'll get indecision, but would the girls have bought it? I do suppose it helps that they have no contact with one another from HTDs on.

I agree with you completely. I think Catherine and Lindsay would have been spotted by now if they were home since their friends have been vocal about their support of them. There was a twitter posting yesterday that made some think Lindsay made F2 as her Mom's friend sent Reality Steve a message about knowing who was in the final and may know who won. However, by final did she mean F3 or F2? I think it means Lindsay made it to Thailand but that is it. If Lindsay was cut at F3, she would not be allowed to call her Mom.

I am glad you brought this up as I have wondered about the same thing about Desiree. How is it that no one has said anything about this girl, make comments about her character, claim to be a friend? It's almost like she went "underground" after 2011, judging from her blog posts. She is truly a mystery woman and I must say that I am intrigued and looking forward to seeing her on the show.

It didn't seem like Sean had a really hard time leading his girlfriend of three years on , so I don't think this will be as tough for him as some are willing to think... JMHO!!!

Starting with last season (Emily's) they sequestered the F3 until filming was finished - i.e. Sean had to stay in Curacao about an extra week- though he was able to make some phone calls home. Both Sean and Arie did arrive home earlier than Emily and Jef, however. It's possible that they did this with the F4- or issued their usual threats of suits to be sure they'd be quiet.

I'm sure that Lindsay's mom's friend knows about the HTD, but past that I wouldn't be sure. I think Lindsay's family is probably pretty good at keeping secrets when necessary (a military family after all).

And as to him leading his girlfriend of 3 years on.... apparently he didn't end it until way too late, but he (and Shay) admits that he treated her like a buddy- and he feels guilty about it (maybe hoping she'd take the hint and end it so he wouldn't have to- even great guys are cowards that way). So I think our clue is to find the one he's not treating like a buddy. Girls who are falling (or think they're falling) in love, sometimes read buddy behavior in a totally different way- most of us see things the way we want to see them - and in the circumstance of this show, I think that's even more true.

That is exactly what I meant. When they actually sat down to talk alone we weren't privy to that conversation. Just like we saw Kacie and Ben talk during the M & G, but Jenna was there.

I am talking about the F1 and lead having an extended private conversation during the M & G.

I recall Sean saying that after he was cut, he called his mom (who apparently told him that it might end up being a good thing for him because he had never experienced being the one to be rejected. Looks like mom may have been right). Don't know, of course, when he was allowed to call but apparently it was when he was still in Curacao.

I am sure this will be hyped to death when it happens but I must admit that I am curious to see what happens - from RS:

So far, there’s at least 5 girls I know of this season that were eliminated before a rose ceremony took place.

My dream of the final 2 women dumping the lead still hasn't happened! Heck, I'd take the final 2 gal dumping him before the finale.

I know!! That would be so prime!
And then for the outtake---showing both the F1/F2 in the limo ride together leaving, opening a bottle of bubbly and toasting! Dishing about what a jerk the guy is etc.
It would be a great lead in to the next season, for the 'ette. They could both be the following 'ette--a duo.

When does Chris Harrison's five to watch article come out? I will be interested to read who makes it.
