Well, I made an avie for Shelly, the egg, last season... So it seems quite fitting to have the actual chicken this season (and yes, I know/realize Shelly was an ostrich egg)!

Sorry...did I overboard? I took down all my bach related avies/siggy a while back...so decided it was time to show Sean some love. I took down Charlie Hunnam/Jax since he's been my avi since for the last month or so as I prepared for SOA's return . Was sad to take him down, but figured it was about time to get back into bach mode with some Sean avid/siggy stuff!

Someone said that the social media response to Sean being the Bach is underwhelming... correct? Hasn't it not even been announced yet? Just clues dropped here and there? I think we'll see a much bigger out pour once its officially announced. Unless I missed that somewhere? Sorry... 8.5 months pregnant and contracting all over the place. I'm a little out of it lately :giggle:

Well since it is "almost" official. I guess it is time I got behind our new Bachelor with avatar support. I am looking forward to see what kind of a banquet TPTB will present us with this season. Got my sleuthing goggles on and seat belt tightened and ready to come aboard so bring it on Mr splice and fliess.

Congratulations, eeek to the contractions. I'm looking forward to all the sleuthing we can do. So if they've started filming, anyone out on the west coast hanging out at hotels to see if any of the ladies are there yet?

That was me. Of course there will be a bigger outpouring once it's official. That would be the case for any lead. But they are reading the tea leaves. Once Arie made his official announcement on August 31 , they knew that many fans of the show knew it was Sean. Whatever they were expecting must not have happened. Because the proof is in the pudding - they made Arie go to LA.

Given that no official announcement has been made and the fact that the show doesn't even air for over 3 months, I think its premature to state they're disappointed in a response. Especially since the big media players (EW, People, The Hollywood Reporter, Entertainment Tonight) have not even published an announcement yet.

I don't know why they would have to make Arie go to LA....wouldn't he want to go willingly? I would think that he has some appreciation to TPTB for the publicity that gave his career a boost. A little more publicity and a small way of showing his appreciation might be his motivation. We don't even know in what capacity he will be there. It might be something that was fun for him to do. I don't see Arie going there as some reticent little boy...he likes the limelight so why not one more opportunity?

I think they weren't expecting anything specific other than speculation.. and they got plenty of that! They haven't officially announced anything yet to the general public!! Only die hard fans know it's Sean at this point!! The rags are just now unofficially announcing it ...

Arie officially announced that he wasn't The Bachelor and there was no crazy outcry from angry or sad fans!! I think bringing Arie to the show, if that's indeed the case, will not bring the effect that you think the show will get just because of him.. and TPTB must know that..

How do we know they made Arie go to LA? Why couldn't he have gone willingly to film an update on what was going to with him then be at DWTS for Karina and Helio? Do I think having an Arie segment will bring in more viewers on premier night? Possibly since some that were only interested in him not Sean might tune in. But I think Sean can carry a show without Arie's help...just like Arie could without Sean's. I also think if it had been Arie, Sean would probably have made an appearance much like Arie is on his. And I say all this as fan of both Sean and Arie.
