The Bachelor 17 - Speculation/Spoilers - Discussion

There are 9 full weeks from the 24th of Sept until Thanksgiving. If they ended the season the Sunday prior to Thanksgiving(as it has in the past) it would give a full 8 weeks to film season.

I thought RS said filming starts on the 20th. CH's comment does make me wonder if it isn't Sean because they'd be able to market him as a fan favorite.

Looks like Rs states it will be the 24th now... according to his latest blog.

The more I have to wait, the less interested I become.

I guess technically it doesn't let Sean out because of the event on the 23rd but they usually tape the lead prior in the few days leading up the the M & G.

as to annoucing to potentially get the bad taste out of the viewers mouths - it won't start airing til January so there's plenty of time whether they announce it today, this week or the day before the M&G. If filming (as in Meat and Geek) truly begins in the next week-10 days, I would think The Machine would come out and release who TB is rather than have someone spoil the info for them by running into filming crew and staff on dates, promos etc and then taking photos or tweets released to the public. The Machine likes to get the first word out.

absolutely, they seem to have gone to great measures to not have anyone steal their thunder. I believe they've known for weeks who the next bach is and it milking it for all it's worth. When they stopped trying to get Chris L and moved onto getting Brad that happened in early Aug. the only thing that might've put a kink in the plans was possibly having someone (RE??) set to go and he pulled out last minute....but thats only speculation since there's still no word on who the bach is or why it's taken so long.

when was the first tweet that MF was teasing when the announcement would be - wasn't that about 3 weeks ago.

thanks - I did find it, for some reason I thought it was on the main page, not buried. didnt' it used to be on the mainpage?

yep - don't know why/how it got buried.

I guess us Canadian viewers don't matter eh?

I would've thought there would be an actual section of the board dedicated to this since it premieres in a month.
