The Bachelor 17 - Speculation/Spoilers - Discussion

OK here's my theory: Maybe Arie was their first pick for TB in the beginning but he turned them down, and because of this they had to go to their second choice Sean. But now that Arie has seen the benefits of Being TB and after his convo with Ben about finding Courtney, he went back to TPTB to see if he can still be The Bachelor, and of course him being their first pick all along, they are thinking hard about dropping Sean and choosing Arie instead?

I'm just sad that Roberto :Drool: is completely out of the running!!.. :Frown:

yeah, but why in the world Sean confirmed that he has commitment until Dec?.this is the ultimate evidence, i guess,....anyone?

I really believe they wanted Roberto first because of the lawsuit but think he turned them down fairly early. They seemed primed to pick Sean around the time of the MTA and I think that was a combination of his popularity and they really didn't think Arie was going to want to do it. That fits with Blondiegal hearing that it was Sean around that time. Then after the finale they saw how crazy the viewers were about Arie in his heartbreak and Arie started to change his mind about doing the show. That seemed to be when Fleiss started tweeting things about making a decision on TB.

I thought of one thing that could explain why RS thinks it won't be Arie. What if they told Arie that he was the first choice but just have to clear it through ABC which fits him talking about the good news, etc? At the same time they could be telling Sean that they've asked Roberto but Sean's the first choice if that doesn't work out. RS knows Jeremy who's been pushing Sean as the Bachelor but wouldn't have a clue what they've been saying to Arie so could explain RS being sure it couldn't be him. I wouldn't be shocked at all if Fleiss was stringing them all along until they've signed on the dotted line. I can't be sure that it's going to go Arie's way but think he's been told something recently that appears to be making him think he's the one. Sean may just not know yet. Of course it could be flipped. Can't wait to find out for sure.

I believe that Blondiegal said she wasn't comfortable saying that Arie will be TB until that last source confirms.

i thought Jeremy is against this crazy show, and was being vocal of the fakeness of this show. so ill be shocked if he suggest Sean, his good buddy, to do it...#confused :shocked!:

Seems like maybe there are (or were) two different camps at ABC - so they are stringing both Arie and Sean along until they make a final decision. It may differences in who want's who, or contract requests from one or both guys may be sticking points. No facts to go on her but it makes some sense. Personally I like the theory of having two bachelors for the entire season - that would really stir things up and be fun.

Fleiss did tweet last weekend that Network Executives couldn't make their mind up, of course this could be BS. Or maybe its set in stone and he just doesn't want anyone to know.

I didn't like the way they did it last time. We just got to know the other guy and he was gone. Truthfully I preferred him to Byron. If it were 2 bachelors for the whole show I could see it but they'll never do that.

I still think it's more likely that Arie will be TB than Sean. Arie's the one going to the event in L.A., communicating on twitter/FB with Elan the producer, and visiting with Ben who's now rooting for Arie. I'm sure they talked about it during dinner so don't you think Arie would have told Ben if he were definitely not going to be TB?

are we any closer? Is Arie out of the running?

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Fleiss is just stringing Sean along by telling him that they are still considering him for the Bachelor. Sean's tweet that said that his schedule might be filled up until sometime in December could be because Fleiss told him that they still have not made a decision and that they are still really interested in him being the next Bachelor.

As much as I like Sean, I just don't think that TB is the right place for him to be looking for a potential wife. I don't believe that Sean is the boring person that he was edited to be on the Bachelorette, but the format of this show requires things of him that I don't think match up with his personality nor his religious beliefs.

I truly believe that Fleiss and company would RATHER have a season of TB where there are a lot of steamy hot tub makeout scenes, overnight fantasy suites dates with all three women, lots of crazy drama with the women in the house, and a less PG rated show than Emily's was. I imagine that Sean would want to follow along with a more PG-rated format as well.

I honestly think that Fleiss is trying his hardest to keep the next Bachelor under wraps and has perhaps already chosen someone. I hope, for Sean's sake, that he has turned it down though. JMHO.
