I think Arie has been it from day 1. Number 1 he is so dang popular. Number 2 he has great screen presence they know they will get a good season out of him. 3. BG had info a long time ago and then it was retracted and now it is back. It just tells me he has probably been their primary.

I hope there's a good balance between the "characters" Fleiss likes to include and some quality girls. And I suspect there are going to be some high adrenaline dates!

A poster wrote on the Jokers Update board that if they cast Lochte, none of the contestants would be willing to get in the hot tub or in the pool with him!

I can't remember the entire discussion, JL. Kate and some others are the racing experts, understand the types of racing, the sponsorships and what's going on with it. Hopefully they will see this and respond. I think it had to do with Arie's time in CA last weekend, one night might have been a dinner with a potential sponsor???

I do think they were interested in getting Roberto simply because he's a) a known quantity and b) the pending lawsuit. Given that it now seems as though Roberto is not interested I believe they are going back to their original choice of Arie (perhaps he's balking a bit because they left him hanging when Roberto entered the picture).

There was also some speculation that the delay might have to do with managing him being TB in addition to his racing career, which he seems to be resurrecting. Issues like his sponsors maybe having to view TB contract, trying to get certain concessions (for instance if he stays in the October race), etc. It might have gotten a little more complicated than a standard offer.

I can see that.
But Roberto filling the racial diversity gap is lame.. (not you- but MF). I think to fill that gap they need to go african american. Surely they can find some big hunky fella. :Smiley:

I don't like the way Sean kisses onscreen so I'm okay with him not being the Bachelor. I like him otherwise but yes, I am that shallow in my preferences for the Bachelor. Kissing is an important thing on this show, clearly.

IMO, I would rather see Sean kissing a girl then Arie kissing a girl. I love, love Arie and his kissing is the only thing that I didn't like. To me, with Arie, it seemed like you would need to wipe your face after being kissed by him. Maybe just the way they edited it??

Yeah but Sean has lizard tongue kissing at times. Both are great wall kissers though.

Arie really is their best bet. He's charismatic, funny, charming, has ties to a beloved sport...
