Doesn't Ryan HAVE to be sent home from the 1 on 1? (If he indeed leaves, and I have no reason to doubt that at this point) They go on the date, there's always a rose for a 1 on 1. So she either gives him the rose (in which case, he's safe at the RC) or she doesn't (in which case, he leaves).

I suppose it's possible that he could be at the RC with a rose from the 1 on 1, and Ashley says, you know what, I changed my mind -- but I really really doubt that!

ETA: If she sends him home from the 1 on 1, and then later starts missing his attention and reassuring presence, this could explain his return. If she starts rethinking, because he's what she thinks she's supposed to want, then maybe she wants him back. Or else it's just a set up for more drama or to make him the next Bachelor. Or some mix of all of the above.

I'm still seeing her as most into JP, but it's a bit ominous (to me) that she said something like "he's the total package". Usually if a Bachelorette says that about someone, that isn't who they choose.

Ashley has said he's the total package about Ben F and JP.

Out of the F2 though, only Ben has had the girlfriend/boyfriend comments made, right?

I think Chris L called Ali his girlfriend during her season and he ended up being the F2.

Chris L. got the full fledge Grade A treatment. Not only did he call Ali his girlfriend by episode #4, but by episode #7 Lisbon, he was going to make an AMAZING HUSBAND per Ali's words. They threw everything but the kitchen sink in that one. Roberto was simply "hot", although they did pump up his edit in the final episode in order to make up lost ground.

Basically what happened that season was this:
Last Chance Date with Roberto, Ali squeals "I know I have a date with Chris tomorrow and I should go but I just caaaan’t…"

DONE!

Most of the guys are discussed as a “potential husband” on their dates but…

On Ames date in Phuket, the word “family” also comes up several times in Ashley’s discussion about what she wants.
On Ben's date in Chaing Mai, we hear the words boyfriend, girlfriend, wife and fiancé in addition to the H word.
On Jordan's date in Hong Kong, no H word or any other word of this type is used except… "great family man"... and "total package".

This season they ARE using certain words that they usually avoided with past season Final 1s. HOWEVER, they are using these words VERY strategically. Ashley only admits to falling for Jordan in Hong Kong, but also implies that she has been for a while (probably since episodes #3 or #4). Yet she said she fell for William in half a date in episode #2 and was falling fast for Bentley by ep #3, just before he dumped her. They are really building Jordan up as the "slow burn" guy beginning with step-by-step stages... she doesn't know why she just leans in for a kiss in episode #2... it just happens. In the last episode, she told Chris Harrison that she can't communicate her feelings and twice Jordan has told her lines like "I think you know... I mean, what do you wanna know?" (i.e. how I feel) or (paraphrasing) "I know it sounds cheezy... but it is meant to be".

Meredith's F3, Chad, never got a kiss from her; in fact she kind of mocked him for not having the guts to just kiss her. Not that she was interested in anyone but Ian anyway.

I also believe Andrew's F3, Tina Fabulous, didn't kiss him until either HTDs or FDs. And she also seemed to be sort of disinterested throughout. And Jesse didn't kiss Deanna until his HTD, and he was F1 (yeah, I know).

Constantine still has time to kiss Ashley, not that it will make a difference. I agree that so far, we haven't really seen any indication he's into her at all (or she's into him for that matter). I just think she ran out of other suitable guys to bring along, once she realized Ryan was too into her, and Lucas had a temper. And I'm guessing that she also doesn't take Ames to Fiji because she doesn't want to lead him on any further. That leaves Dino.

yeah - thinking right now about her F4, she kinda painted herself into a corner. If at this point she knew JP was going to be her F1 - eliminating Lucas and Ryan really is a no brainer - I dont' see her attracted to either of them in the least. Frankly, I don't see her interested in anyone but JP. The elevator kisses with Ames looked awkward and forced on her part. No kissing Connie yet?? I wanna see her interaction with Ben next episode to see if they try to amp up the chemistry factor to at least make it look like JP has competition.

I think last week's cocktail party certainly gave her insight into who she wanted to bring forward into the F4 and who she didn't. Connie and Lucas really stepped in it - even as justified as they were.

Dear Chris,The last few bachelorettes have been less than sassy. Most of the fun of watching this franchise is because the men beg to show how committed they are, and the Bachelorettes send them packing if she doesn’t believe it. Both Ali and Ashley were insecure from the beginning– is this a conscious decision to make the lead more relatable, or just a factor that the first few choices were unavailable? PLEASE give us back some strong and independent women!
