I just saw the preview on the Jimmy Kimmel show. We have it here but on my tv you couldn't see that it was Ben she was asking "want to get out of here?" so it looked like she was saying it to Constantine. They showed him looking down sadly and the only other spot they had him was when she greeted him at the pool but it's from the back so people could have thought it was Constantine. Are they trying to make it look like Ben's leaving? I found it interesting.

Jimmy also had a short bit about the show and there was a clip that showed them saying "like" "connection" and Ashley playing with her bangs. I guess we're not the only one noticing.

Haven't seen the clip but always though it must said to Ben, because she is wearing orange at dinner with Constantine and a black fancy dress with JP.

Random thought...casual attire with Ben (CL) vs dressed up with JP (Roberto). Given the other similarities with Ben/CL edits I will LMAO if we see Ash REMOVE, JP's white shirt....alla Ali/Roberto, especially after going to their "own private island". Clever little beggers these editors with a great sense of humor!!!! JMO

Also, boat with CL/Ben, including climbing and wriggling around on top of them.
Plane with JP/Roberto, including kissing. JP is almost wearing the exact same shirt Roberto was.
This is getting eerie! :shock:

This was dinner. Hard to tell how casual but probably more so than with JP. Still can't tell if she's wearing the blue striped top here.

So it is really Chris L edit or just want us to think so. Kind of funny either way.

I think as long as JP doesn't carry around a towel to wipe his sweat or start speaking spanish to Ash we will be good. Then again, if Ash kisses his shoulder before getting in the plane or salsa dances with him all bets are off!

Seriously my thought was they have intentionally steered it this way. Too many similarities for it to be coincidence:

Date before HTD
Ben, scooter date plus VO : I need to see if we have a physical and emotional connection BEFORE I agree to meet his family.
CL: scooter and similar VO from Ali

HTD
Ben porch scene vs CL's porch scene
Sadness of the loss of parent in both

FD
Ben: Yacht, on top of each other, casual dress at dinner, Carrying Ash to the pool making out
Chris: Yacht, on top each other, carrying Ali out of the ocean whilst making out, sitting by the pool before retiring for the night

JP: Island FD, white shirt, Ash dressed up
Roberto: ditto

Now I'll be watching JP's FD's like a hawk for.
(1) removal of said white shirt
(2) Ash attacking anything with a machette
(3) frollicking in the shallows, with her legs wrapped around him

My theory is that viewers see the similarity with Ben/Chris and assume he's not going to win because they've seen this before, Guy lost his dad, this has been a therapeutic journey for him...yada, yada.

ETA...JP carring Ash into the ocean ....Let's hope for JPs sake it get's deeper quicker than it did in Tahiti. Remember Roberto huffing and puffing carrying Ali but the water was so shallow. He would have to carry her half a mile to get neck height

That part was hilarious! He picked her up and started running....and running....and walking.....and barely staying upright. Haha! :Spitoutdrink:

By the way, we do have pics of JP and Ashley "frolicking" in the water, so add that to the list!

ETA: I'm still 100% on JP being F1, so I think this all just adds up to really lazy date-planners and editors!

I was fooled by the Roberto edit because they edited out all substantial conversations between the two and made their relationship "appear" to be superficial. JP and Ash have not been shown to have any substantial conversations either so maybe I'm fooled again. Who knows.

But Ben's edit is different than CLs in one important way in that they have shown us much more of a connection than we were ever shown with CL/Ali

Really? Funny how people see things differently because I think JP and Ash have been nothing but substantial conversations - Bentley, past relationships, how they feel about each other, struggling with the process, etc. In fact, I was glad to see the rollerskating because it was nice to see them just laughing and being goofy for once. Of course, they promptly ruined the fun with a convo about JP's broken heart and how sure he is about them as a couple. Not sure what that means for previous patterns/edits though...
