ETA: She made that journal just for JP so that he could see her true feelings throughout the process. She saw what happened with Emily being so insecure after watching the show. She didn't want JP to feel like that.

I don't think it sounds like all that great a sign for Ben F that Ashley says she spent part of their date wondering how the other guys would react to the overnight aspect of it, but she does say ultimately she was just excited to see Ben F.

She's defending JP but she's doing it without naming him at all. I can see somebody arguing that this makes it an impersonal defense. For whatever reason though she's talked freely about Ben F in her blogs and said very little about JP by name, even though she's said some very significant things that seem to pertain to him.

Edit: I'm glad Ashley's keeping a journal now. I always thought that was a great thing Ali did though I think she did from the very beginning.

So during her date with Ben she was thinking about how bad it would look to the other guys and the issues she would be facing afterwards instead of paying attention to him..this must have been at dinner when she looked like she was about to pass out while he was talking.

I think the journal is for JP too! I think it finally sunk in how deep his feelings are!

Whoever Ashley's writing that journal for I think it'll be a good one because she strikes me as a better writer than speaker.

It sort of seems like Ashley started keeping a journal at that point because she knew would her F1 would be and wanted to gear her writing towards that? There's a case that her 1-on-1 with Ben F solidified him as her F1 and there's a case that talking with JP was a wake up call to her that she wanted to make sure he knew everything she was feeling at that point for "consolation"'s sake.

She started her journal this week so it seems that decision was made after her date with JP in HK. Good decision.

I couldn't quite tell if she'd started keeping the journal before the Taiwan dates or after them? I can see what you're saying though.

Here I am, Devil's advocate as usual, with an opposing viewpoint: She'd just come off the worst rose ceremony ever in HK when most of the guys turned on her and felt second best. Of course she'd be worried what crap an overnight would cause amongst the guys on the back of this, but ultimately she was happy to get Ben all to herself. The romance heats up each time she sees him plays into the "slow burn" that's starting to ignite.

I think Ash is a worrier, she hates sending guys home, she remembers what that feels like. I noted the defense of showing emotions, which I agree is in support of JP but her biggest fear as a Bach contendender was looking "stupid". I think JP is a proud guy and this could be her way of defending what she put him through if he turns out to be F2. Either way emotions are going to running high with both of the F2....the FRC is going to be difficult to watch that's for sure.

I also found it interesting in her blog that she thinks Connie is "real" and doesn't have a false sense of feeling for her, this is something I keeping harping on about because I think she sees JP's competitive nature and is questioning, just as I do whether he's "in it to win it" and his feelings are flamed more by the "game" situation.

I love, love how J-Pash defend each other to the public and are on the same page. And I love that she thought ahead and started a journal like Ali. What a great start to a healthy relationship.

Thanks Ashley for confirming your man doesn't eat babies for breakfast or breathe fire. I was getting mighty nervous. Now all I need to know is he has yet to send Boo back to Florida (Maine) ala Jake and Chloe and I'll be a happy fan. :27:
