I didn't even notice that. (I think I've trained my brain to ignore her.) Hilarious. Most Bachelor relationships outlived her marriage.

the price of the ring is always an issue every season, not just this one. and there were a couple of bachs who actualy paid for the ring themselves.

for us po folk, it seems like a waste of money - but for the fantasy of this show, I dont' have issue with it since it will likely go back to Neil Diamond Lane anyway.

Agreed. You have to remember, these two live in a different world than most of us. What is a lot of money to us is not as big of a deal to them. Plus, who wouldn't take a free ring? I would! I doubt Emily demanded a bigger ring than previous contestants. Emily and Jef both do a lot of good to the world and their communities. You can't hate them for being wealthy.

You make an excellent point RichLP! Tabloids should definitely be taken with heavy grains of salt. But, there's a history here. ABC/Next usually does leak to one of the lesser tabloids to get favorable coverage and the official spin out. For Ashley H's season, Ben F's season, and now Emily's season, it's clear that tabloid has been Life & Style. That's why In Touch (a competing lesser tabloid) has answered with negative coverage of all 3.

That's not to say we should buy every detail in L&S - it's official spin with the usual tabloid distortion/exaggeration. But, I'd say the general outline of the story is likely true.

I like to follow the weekly tabloid storylines not because I believe all of them or even most of them, but because the people and storylines the "right" tabloids focus on can give some clues as what's really going on, who the major players of each season are, and stuff like that. So, it's almost worth the lost brain cells reading these stories

IMO we're supposed to be getting a "great father" storyline out of this season based on the tabloid coverage of Emily's season, but that storyline hasn't developed yet. There is almost no consideration of Sean as a contender yet, which is a red flag that he's not F1 (but, if tabloid coverage of him ramps up, then maybe there's a chance). Arie is getting the most coverage of the guys, probably for a few reasons (name, in the lead right now). I'm interested to see how/whether the tabloid storylines on him go. Jef is kind of there, but like I said the fact that Life & Style gave him and Arie the bigger pictures within the F4 is a sign of those 2 being considered the most significant.

What better way to help the kids at the Charlotte Children's Hospital than to forego that ridiculous FAKE ring, and ask ABC to donate the funds to the hospital. Families desperately need housing and support while children are resident in the hospital. That would be a class act. Too bad no one who actually knows Emily posts here.

But remember that the ring is being given as a comp. They would have to convince Neil Lane to donate the money that he's not getting to charity instead.
