Obviously, and to no suprise at all, the "bad" press has commenced with respect to Emily, but no matter what she will always be my favorite Bachelorette other than Jillian (a fellow Canadian and of course I fell in love with Reid..)
I so adore Emily and I am so happy that I can look forward to Monday nights now instead of dreading them when Ben and the girls were on...although I have to admit I didn't really watch much of that and I am a mega fan of the series!
Also, I wanted to say that I really think it all comes down to chemistry between two people...both emotional and physical chemistry and if you do not have both there is no way the relationship is going to last in the long run.
I know, personally speaking, that if I don't have both with someone, it doesn't work for me, but just having one half of the chemisty might last for a while, but never for the long haul!
I think Em had physical chemisty with Arie and emotional chemistry with Jef, which ended up turning into emotional and physical chemisty with Jef and therefore..well we know the story thanks to Love Me. Of course this is all just my learned opinion..
Lastly, I want to say thank you to San and Love Me for such an amazing and addictive site which I so adore and cannot wait to read every moring and evening....so THANK YOU.....as well as a huge shout out to the wonderful members with their amazing sleuthing skills..you all never cease to amaze me!!!

"Reality television frequently portrays a modified (...) day-to-day life, at times utilizing sensationalism to attract audience viewers and increase advertising revenue. Participants are often placed in exotic locations or abnormal situations, and are often persuaded to act in specific scripted ways by off-screen "story editors" or "segment television producers" with the portrayal of events and speech manipulated and contrived to create an illusion of reality through direction and post-production editing techniques." ~ Wikipedia |

JP on Skype seems less earth shattering, then coaching Sean like a Lead as to what he can cover, setting the rules for what he "can" talk about (turning point in London, drama with men, spilling details about the NEXT episode only), and then unleashing the media "hoards" (okay, it's usually only random two bit bloggers and Extra, US and People sometimes!). It makes sense.
They need to perk up ratings. And I'm not sure there are enough real scandals associated with Emily and F3 to get that job done. Arie dated younger women? Please. Emily's teeth are fake, she is protective of her daughter to the point where she drops an Fbomb, and, her in laws are mad isn't going to sell magazines either.

This is interesting. I am not sure how a nobody like Sean will perk up ratings. Weird.

tigertiz wrote:Maybe this is being discussed in a different thread, but I think it's really significant. This is helping me make sense of why she kept seeking him out in the first episodes. from Wetpaint.Wow. Things are making a little more sense now. I bet Doug told her about Jef's business and the Holms family as well. http://www.wetpaint.com/the-bachelorette/articles/source-friend-urged-bachelorette-emily-maynard-to-keep-jef-holm-aroundMichelle Money and Emily Maynard were the only single moms on The Bachelor Season 15 and they became fast friends. And that’s not the only thing they have in common!
According to Us Weekly, Michelle’s brother Doug is longtime friends with Bachelorette cutie Jef Holm, who also lives in the Salt Lake City area. "When Doug found out that Jef was going on the show, he called Emily and told her what a good guy Jef is," a source tells Us Weekly. "Doug said to keep Jef around. He really thought they would get along."
That would further explain why Emily seemed immediately drawn to Jef — beyond just loving his skateboard and "super cool" vibe — and why she keeps going out of her way to chase him instead of making it the other way around. Maybe it’s an unfair advantage to tell a Bachelor/ette about a contestant in advance … then again, Michelle tried to warn Bachelorette Ashley Hebert about Bentley Williams and that didn’t work. Maybe all future contestants should be vetted by Michelle.
Some of us suspected that Doug gave Emily a heads up & its nice that this can be put to rest now.

I thought the more insightful / lasting observation was that her temper (coupled with his no doubt) contributed significantly to the downfall of the fairly complete failure of the Brad/Emily relationship to make that critical transition to post filming realities. You have to be able to solve conflicts. Communication, even heated communication, is how you do that. But the Brad Failure is in fact a red flag for her future relationships, if we allow Bach/ette history to be our guide. It's a ridiculous way to find a spouse, does ANYONE disagree with that?

See what you mean. In others words Sean name is the redflag for outlets to dig why he is being highlighted.

Editors are not going to approve weekly updates in the print versions especially about "Charlie was sad to leave". But they might promote the upcoming episode if they got a quote from someone other than Emily saying something about what viewers can expect. Sean can't carry the season, obviously, but having him available might spark more attendance on today's call, and as a result, more news items mentioning the upcoming episode. They have to do lots of things to move ratings. This would be one tiny thing.

It's a good way to measure Sean's recognition and likeability, too, in terms of mentions, likes, retweets, comments. The emergence of Sean theme makes more sense now, too.
They have to keep tinkering with the positioning until they find something that helps to generate more interest in the show. There's 3-4 new dating shows on this summer, i.e. The Choice, Take Me Out, 3 that offer a different or new spin on basically the same concept. So they're having to deal with lackluster ratings and new competition in their space.

Oh trust me I don't believe the crap they put in magazines these days to sell them as almost always there is but a grain of truth, if that, in the articles.
I just thought it interesting that all the magazines out there are jumping on the "diss Emily bandwagon"...I suppose anything that sells magazines true or not...!!!
:it is all good
