I thought this was the most adorable moment last night, Ryan and his juicebox!

Those producers...I [b]would not be surprised if they encouraged him to write her that letter. Setting him up for this storyline since Em wasn't feeling it as much.

I re-watched the episode today to make certain about Ryan and Emily's time together during the cocktail party. It appears that Ryan is all ready in the room, Emily enters, they exchange greetings, Emily sits down and then Ryan joins her. In other words, it seems as though Emily joins Ryan and engages him. Ryan definitely did not pull Emily away from the other guys and deliberately monopolize her time.
Surely the producers were fanning the "he all ready has a rose" flames of discontentment.

I also watched episode again today and had the same feeling that the producers probably suggested writing the letter and then set up the time to talk to Emily & present letter. One of the previous leads said there is a producer present during cocktail hour coordinating the sessions with lead & contestants & even controlling the amount of time to a certain degree. I thought they looked good together & that they were having a good time, but I also wished there was more chemistry between them.

Maybe if he had a lazy eye or uncontrollable acne or a stuttering problem he may have had a chance....got the Brad W. syndrome...just too damn perfect and good looking! Shame on him.

Awww you are so sweet!! It was my favorite part of their date. At that point he was "all in" on this parenting thing. Reminded me of DH last weekend when we did our son's first "friend party" with 14 five year olds!

He just seems so supportive and helpful.... and as a mom to young children, helpful, is one of the best traits! I like when she said in her blog that he offered to change the light bulbs too.

So I'm watching the Bachelorette and I hear the name Ryan Bowers. I recognized the name immediately and drug out a year book to confirm. Yep, Columbia Middle School 1992-1993! I'm sure he'll love me for this! He was a cute kid, not really sure what happened! LOL

I thought there date was good for the first of the season. Did i expect to see making out immediately, nope not at all. I think Ryguy is to much of a true gentleman and respects her to much as a Mother to go there on the first date.
I thought he handled going to her home to make cookies pretty nicely, he went with it , he appreciated the fact that he was invited to her house and got the first date. When they got too the soccer field he respected the fact that she asked him to stay in the car, so as not to meet Ricki yet. He seemed to admire Ricki from afar and also got to see Emily with her Mother's hat on doing everyday things. When Em got back in the car, and mentioned going to Chuckie Cheese he was all in.
When the evening portion of the date came about and Em started with the difficult questions, he answered them the best way he knew how. I love the fact that he also asked Emily a huge question of if she was ready to let go and let someone treat her child the same as he would their own if they were to be together. There playful exchange after she gave him the rose and she went in for the kiss, he was already moving to the side to kiss her on the cheeck, so MS Em, did see something in Ryguy enuff to kiss him on the lips although a peck, but enuff to say hey I like you and want to see more of you.
I loved there playful exchange afterward about him chasing her and her running etc. I would love to have seen more of the dancing outside, i feel like lots got cut out and we know there was some playful exchanges there as well from the spoiler vids that came out before the season. I loved the way she nuzzled up to him while dancing and she did feel it enough with him to slow dance rather closely.
Did he get a kiss, good nite we'll never know by choice of TPTB. I do feel like the date went off pretty nicely and he seemed to make her feel rather comfortable. Overall it was a nice vibe, was it hot and heated with a make out session NO, but did she feel something i think they both did. Is he her chosen one, obviously not from the spoilers but I hated that she said he was too perfect and in that comparison said the same as Brad.
It is almost like she is doing what she admitted to on the AFRC, she sabotages anything good because of her insecurities.
Why make a comment that Ryan is too good looking, does Em think she doesn't deserve a good looking guy, who is nice, kind, fun and could possibly be a great partner and father figure to Ricki?
Is she saying a good looking man could NOT be the total package? I think Emily needs to realize her insecurities and work on them before she sabotages another relationship at the end of the day.
