I can kinda see that Love! He does have some similar features. And in this pic the hair on the back of his head is kind of poofed up too! giggling

I re-watched the episode today to make certain about Ryan and Emily's time together during the cocktail party. It appears that Ryan is all ready in the room, Emily enters, they exchange greetings, Emily sits down and then Ryan joins her. In other words, it seems as though Emily joins Ryan and engages him. Ryan definitely did not pull Emily away from the other guys and deliberately monopolize her time.
Surely the producers were fanning the "he all ready has a rose" flames of discontentment. :stirthepot

I've come to learn the producers will show what they want whether the person is good or bad, they can edit them either way...you just have to look between the lines so to speak!

I especially agree with the bolded--even though they can't include what they are not given, they sure can manipulate what they are given to tell the story they want to. And manipulate the contestants into providing the sound bites that they are looking for. Although after looking at Ryan's date a second time, it didn't seem quite as awkward as it did at first--the "kiss of death" signs are already there (Emily comparing him to Brad and the 1:1 (later 1:2) regarding Ryan's lengthy letter). Judging from the "twitter love" he is already receiving, he will come out of this more than fine. High clap

I also watched episode again today and had the same feeling that the producers probably suggested writing the letter and then set up the time to talk to Emily & present letter. One of the previous leads said there is a producer present during cocktail hour coordinating the sessions with lead & contestants & even controlling the amount of time to a certain degree. I thought they looked good together & that they were having a good time, but I also wished there was more chemistry between them.

I agree about the sound bites too. I thought their date went great, it was the first of the season so of course Emily would be super nervous...then it wasn't your typical date and on top of that a bunch of screaming people watching everything you do, not that romantic if you ask me. So not any more awkward than any typical first date. Ryan knew of Emily before hand, so he was trying his best to impress. Him drinking out of that juicebox would have done it for me! giggling

I think Ryan will have no problem finding the perfect girl for him, I know a few bachelor girls are hoping it's them. Hugesmile
