Hi Steve,

Short funny story about Ryan that I experienced this weekend. I used to live in Aiken, SC, which is a small little town right outside of Augusta. Now I live in FL but when last weekend to visit some girlfriends. I was at a popular (in the area) restaurant when lo’ and behold Ryan walks in the door…with his agent. Really?! Pretty sure I was the only person at the bar who even knew this guy. You could definitely get the sense that he was SO full of himself. The sad part is, his agent walks up to me and my girlfriends and explained who Ryan was. I kept quiet that I knew, only because it was funny to watch them squirm for attention. Then the agent asks us if Ryan can get a picture with us to post on his website. Really?! That low. Remind me again, who goes on this show for love? Thanks for the posts Steve. I never email and never comment but read every week! Pure entertainment! I love it!

Comment: Wow. I don’t even care if the story is true or not (which I believe it is since subsequent emails proved it to be), it sure is funny. And sad. But not the least bit surprising. The bug has gotten a hold of yet another contestant.

Hey everyone!

Sorry it's been a while. I havent gone back and looked at the posts because to be honest, sometimes I get too defensive for Ryan but what I've seen you guys are awesome. We got to watch the first couple of episodes with Ryan and learned some very interesting things about the production (which I can't/won't share). I will say that 95% of the personalities you see are editing. Does Ryan say bonehead things, absolutely! He's a guy and don't they all; however his bonehead comments are being edited to show him as the egotistical jock. Yeah..... He is that but he is also the guy who when I needed help with a student having problems took two hours of his time before heading to play football and just sat and talked to him and ate school lunch with him. He's the guy, who a few months ago, sat in my living room and said every woman deserves to be treated like a queen. His beliefs are steadfast and don't waiver. They do sound scripted and "perfect" in how the editing is taking place but ask him a year ago, tomorrow, 10, 20, 50 years from now you're going to get the same response. His scripture and sayings on Facebook and Twitterr are him and not an act I'll admit we've all cringed at times but know who our Ryan is and we love him for it.

Just wanted to put that out there. Hope you all are having a good summer and take care!

Yeah, I remember when my daughter made it to the finals of the the Southern region on ANTM and they asked her what does she think america will see her as and could she be the girl next door, the "B" etc.....There is nothing in reality tv that isn't scripted........So I do feel for Ryan, it's a machine and they don't care who they run over with it....

I think you'll find many posters here have been dissecting this show long enough that we know when someone is getting thrown under the proverbial bus. I think Ryan is hot and funny! Thanks for letting us know more about him. :Smiley:
