see2love wrote:Why should he not evaluate if Emily is worthy of him? I love Emily and all, but the guys have as much right to decide if she is what they want just as much as decides which of the guys is best for her. Emily is not perfect for everyone and this does not mean she isnt a wonderful person. I am guessing he has an issue with the fact that she is kissing a lot of the guys there..... And dis may not be in line with his christian values
Just my 2 cents
You are right. He has every right to evaluate. But his wording comes off sexist and cocky. A better way of saying it would have been like, "she may not be compatible with me", or "she may not be right for me."

I agree, it does. I'm wondering if he got the rose and he gave it back or she took it back if she gave it too him, guess we'll know soon enough.tvfan wrote:see2love wrote:Why should he not evaluate if Emily is worthy of him? Just rewatching season 3 and of course Ryan.
The fat comments- He knew what he was saying and tried to grab her hands as he was making particularly distasteful comments to soften the blow- or so it appeared.
Anyway I have figured out his hair do- I think he must own the FLO-BE.
Remember that vacuum that cuts hair....

Right. I think it was all planned. They do psychological testing of candidates - right? His narcissism is overwhelming. The producers had to know that. Combine the narcissism with athletic competitiveness and they had to anticipate that he'd implode. And he did just that. I dont think he was ever slated to go far - but they had to give him a lot of time with Emily in one of the first two episodes - before she had a chance to get rid of him. Then just sit back and let his ego take care of the rest. Instant soundbites and drama. They needed that for a few episodes of filler.eightfifteen wrote:Why does he get another 1-on-1... I'm starting to feel like that is completely producer influenced. She probably had to fight with them to send him home too.
There are producer hands all over this guy: last out of limo, MF sensing a love connection during their M&G time, putting him on the first date where he gets to see Ricki, be in her home, and then after dinner he gets hundreds of photos taken and shared.
I don't think there was any way he was in her top 3... she probably had her top 2 in her mind after London, so the rest dates went to whoever.
I just watched the GMA sneak peek of tonight's episode where he actually talks to the camera about being called to something bigger - being The Bachelor! OMG . He really, really should have waited to release those new headshots until after his elimination aired. Bad timing.

would love 2 meet him, and wish his training facility was closer. I would def take my 14 yr old to him for agility.
I hope you're right, because it's sad that a guy who seemed like such a prince to many of us just a month ago, and whose friend was on this board telling us sincerely how great he was, is coming across so poorly. I wonder how he is feeling watching the shows now, and I'm curious to see what his stance will be once he's eliminated and does the media rounds.
I'd like to think that he's somehow being manipulated by producers into making some of the boneheaded remarks he's making, but it may just be wishful thinking on my part, since I vigorously defended him as nowhere near as bad as Pavelka just a couple of weeks ago. Sadly, as edited, he's worse. Have I said it lately? Oh, Ryan, you wound me.

He should just be embarrassed watching himself on the show I feel so bad for him
Sometimes, when you're in a closed environment you seem like another person and when you're out, you're like oh that's not me, I am not like that
It's not easy to be in one place for a while, it sucks

Perfectly stated in bold. That sums it up for me.

The producers ask a lot of questions and then teist the answers and edit to create a character. In the new preview I'd bet Ryan got asked a question abt being the bachelor before he answered with .....if I was the bachelor.....
i remember Paige and Jeremiah really explaining what happened during SHA. Jeremiah came off reallymbad all because of editing!
I choose to believe what everyone who knw Ryan personally have to say abt him as opposed to what Fleissmaster creates

I 100% agree with this. All the stuff tonight to me is just pure editing. Now, last week's comment about Emily getting fat was just Ryan being stupid and possibly a little chauvinistic...can't blame that one on editing. I just don't buy into the villain they're trying to sell as Ryan, but on the other hand I'm not his biggest fan. Although, as a feminist, I've never been one for the caveman type, so JHMO.
