Honestly, I think the reason he is talking about Arie is because he sees him as the biggest competition as he saw how comfortable they were in the hallway last night.

That makes sense. I think Ryan is one of those 1st date guys/girls who really do believe their connection is the strongest. Im guessing once he watches her on other dates (now as they air) he will probably admit it wasnt as great as he thought it was and she definitily made stronger connections. Tptb knew what they were doing when they gave the competitive guy like him the first date. DRAMA!

Ryan was one of the guys I liked in the beginning. I really have a lot of respect for him and they he has chosen to lead his life. I really hope for his sake this is a one time bad edit and they are not going to make him the guy that talks bad about others.

I see Ryan's point to be honest about the weight thing. He better not get a beer gut on me or his little tush will be running miles! For me, it's important that someone wants to be healthy, making good diet and exercise choices. I think that's what he meant....

Ryan's getting the wonderful first-date edit complete with the out-and-out jealousy. He's the perfect person for the show to exploit: he's a competitor through and through. Plus, I think that Ryan operates according to the "you need to be your own cheerleader" mentality. He is going to think positively of himself so that he can succeed. He is a motivator; that's his job.

Anyway, I could do without some of his less reflective comments, but I think he's realizing that the writing is on the wall for him. He's not winning this game.

Ryan is a good guy who probably got tied up in producer manipulation. Just like I had issues with Courtney when she spoke ill of others, I'll have those same issues with Ryan. He's letting the green-eyed monster turn him into something he's not.

Is that Matt Ryan from the Atlanta Falcons in your avatar? You should keep it!

That's the thing about this show, what's true and what's not? We're givin a PTB edit/storyline of how things happened and who these people supposedly are. Look how that happened with Emily from Brad's season to this. They are playing with people's lives and embellishing who they are/aren't. I really feel for people who go on this show for the right reasons and end up being trashed/laughed at etc. all for "good tv". I know some sign up "knowing" how the system works, but I think the majority don't and I'm sure TPTB love that!
