Its the "but he totally passed the cookie test" part that I thought was adorable! And his laugh after the line about doing most anything for Emily is too cute!

Ryan seemed uncomfortable in the apron....it sort of brought out the jock in him. :hidingchair That was the first impression I had of him pre show, though I really liked him Monday!

Yea, I loved listening to him...but thought the whole thing was a little awkward. Don't know if it really was or just edited that way. May have been since it's the first date of the season and all. Maybe the night portion wont be quite so awkward.

I listened to it twice, too (to get the quotes correct, at least that's what I'm telling myself). Embarressed!

I totally agree nutty! He was not at all comfortable in the apron. The first time he mentioned it I laughed and thought it was cute...but after multiple comments I realized he was uncomfortable in it and not just joking.

Most of the men in my family would feel the same way as he did, so I know where he's coming from, nothing wrong with it. He did keep it on giggling

I was going to say, I think any man would be uncomfortable in an apron! And yes he did keep it on for Emily!

Y'all make a good point and he did keep it on...

Maybe part of the reason he was uncomfortable is that it was so girlie. Maybe if it had had a square top and been more masculine, it wouldn't have been such a issue. Most men I know would just rather get their cloths dirty than wear one, but if they were going to wear one, it would not be girlie. giggling

It def. was girly, if it would have been plain white or whatever I think he'd of been better about it. People don't wear aprons as much as they used to do they?

I think he was so excited probably to spend a day with Emily and had anticipated doing something like Joe or Arie did and that is what he thought was in store. I'm sure he didn't mind making cookies but the apron look is just not his thing. I wonder if he was tested based on answers he many have given in earlier interviews. But whether he wants to wear an apron, for me is pretty non eventful. No, it's not the foot Ryan wanted to get off on first, I don't think. But hopefully he recovers as the date progresses.

I think he's just more of a manly man, but like y'all said he kept it on (if he had refused to put it on I think that would have been a little turn off for me) and I thought he was sweet :Smiley: I loved how he said that ''there's romance in that'' Sigh!

I just watched the clip and thought Ryan took putting on the girly apron in good stride and found some humor in it all.....I am sure he was thinking about the grief he would get from his friends once the footage would be shown!!! As they were making cookies, I did expect them to make googly eyes with each other, but I thought when he fed her some of the batter, now that was cute....extra points!!!!
