I hate that he got the first 1:1 date. With the so called first date curse that probably seriously hurts his chance of being f1 or f2. I think they look great together and have the potential to be a sweet couple.

This season is going to be so much fun, I can hardley wait for the show to air. I am a fan of Ryan's already! I hope we get glimpses of some of the other dates. This is awesome! :crazy dance:

I can't find the thread where they were discussing the date and why he might have been selected to help her break into facing the camera, etc. Some were speculating his body language was such that he perhaps was not all that in to her? Suspect

I got to thinking...He is very nice looking; in addition, he played football for the Arena Football League which is pro ball. As such, he has played in both college and professionally. He is no stranger to crowds and cameras. Of course, he may not have been experientially singled out to the degree that the two of them were - they were literally putting on a show for the people in that club - but still he most likely has more experience in front of a camera and crowds than many of the other guys, and he was probably just the one to help the shyer Emily.

It is hard to tell from what we saw, but I liked what we could see. :Smiley:

one of my brother's old college teammates at Presbyterian College on first one on one date with emily the bachelorette! Ryan Bowers

Grace Yeuell: I taught Ryan in Old Testament and New Testament Survey classes. Now he's a BACHELOR!

Tim Nabholz: Yup...that's my football coach...not sure if it's a good or bad thing yet..

Emily doesn't look very comfortable with all eyes on her!! I wonder if they picked Ryan for this date since he's had experience being in the public eye? Arena football; right?

If it's true... Emily and Ryan going to lil Ricki's soccer game, that's major for Emily. Right out of the gate, he meets lil Ricky and he gets the first 1:1. I have no idea what his personality is like, but he's the cutest one so far to me!Definitely a major player of Bachelorette Season 8.
