Personally,I think the episode 3 F1 pattern is merely coincidental. There is always an exception to the rule. I also believe that there is no way the Lead will know who he/she will fall in love with when the dates are being scheduled by TPTB. The relationship and chemistry develop as they go on dates and interact and it is just coincidence that most of the F1 got 1-1 dates on episode 3 . I agree though that the strong contenders or the favorites get 1-1 dates between episode 2-4 and the Final 2 contestants always got 2nd 1-1 dates. Whoever will get the 2nd 1-1 dates will be the top contenders.

Remember the FIR recepient was never F1 until Roberto. So you never know! :fingersarecrossed

There is always an exception to the rule .. And that was Deanna .. Who got NO 1n1 at all and was in the F2 .. Assumed as the real F1

Maybe I am just hopeful, but I have a feeling we will be throwing out a lot of "tellings" that we looked for in the past. I think that things are very different now with Em being the Bachelorette and MF is willing to give her everything she wants. If Emily wants a date with a certain guy, MF will give it to her no matter if it is the first, third, or tenth episode.

This is just how I am choosing to look at it. Patterns that we used in the past mean very little to me (epi 3 date, FIR)

The Ep. 3 pattern was pretty strong there for a while, and the fact that Ali said she asked for a date with Roberto and was told she would have to wait a while and he just happened to end up with an Ep. 3 date in the middle of that F1 streak just solidfies in my mind that they were on a roll with an Ep.3 F1 pattern.

Nevertheless, the F1 Ep. 3 pattern was broken last season with F1 Courtney who had an Ep. 2 date. Now granted it was not the first 1-1; however, it would NOT surprise me if an Ep2 date went on to be the F1 this season as well if that is how Emily chooses since the streak was broken.

On the other hand, she looked chummy with Chris in that Ep. 3 date, and we did not get to see anything with the other 1-1 date in Ep. 2 or Ep.3 to compare. :greenman:

I could be way off here, but my first inclination is that she might want the ones that she was most drawn to (to) see her "stomping grounds" so to speak - the places in which she is most familiar - Charlotte, West Virgina, and even Dollywood which still might be a familiar area to her, and it is Southern.

My picks for Emily are Ryan and Chris. Seeing Emily and Ryan on their first 1:1 date in CLT, they look so comfortable and happy together. When they slow danced Emily laid her head on his should, which means she felt very safe with him. Now on Chris's 1:1 date with Em, she danced with him, and he got the first public kiss. I think Em and Chris have chemistry too and seemed very comfortable. All I want for Emily is to find someone that makes her feel like the Happiest girl in the world. I want that fairly tale ending for her and Ricki.

I don't see her as being that selfish and controlling tho I have no doubt that she did have some demands .. mF has never given away his editing choice and I dont see him doing it now either ..

No matter what happens this season I do believe MF when he says it will be nothing like what we saw during Ben's season. JMO

Love...I have to agree with your comment above. i too am actually believing MF is going about Em season completely different from past seasons. It being Emily having agreed to being the Bachelorette, to it being the 10 anniversary, i feel he is going to maybe , just maybe give us our True Love story for once, or at least somewhat of one but yet keep us guessing between to favs maybe. I find myself routing for home state man Ryan myself...( also helps, i adored Ryan from Trista's season as well) :yes:
