I'm not sure what the rules were like back then, but I recall DeAnna announcing her wedding date at one of the tapings (Lol worthy) a whole year early, something like the anniversary of their proposal?

She's only been dating Justin now for 2 years, so not crazy long in the normal world.

In the presser for episode 1 ABC teased that they had a special announcement of their own to make, which was never shown. If it was a wedding date then it's a good thing they held off on going public with it.

Amberish, where did Jilly make it clear that she wanted to marry? I don't follow things that closely so was it on her blog or in an interview?

To me she seems pretty happy with the way things are.

As for her and Ed. My impression was that Jilly was all in but in no rush to marry and that Ed was always not quite there. I think they loved each other, but Jilly was not the woman who Ed was going to give up his partying and womanizing for.

They both seem much better off with their current SOs.

I think the rules are that the couples babble and ABC decides. :yes:

I love Jillian like no other and probably why I'm so over being invested in any other Bachelor show couple.

Although I don't follow her closely anymore, I was taken aback that it had taken her so long to process her relationship (in retrospect) with Ed. I'm talking about when she publically went off about how Ed was so wrong and Justin so right and, also, when she said that it was Justin who insisted she no longer keeps in touch with Ed.

One thing I'm certain will never change is Jillian's ability to put forward a positive front and precisely why I say, who really knows what is going on with Justin and imagine I'll continue to feel this way until something happens: whether it be an announcement of a ring or a break up.

Once again, it's become formulaic with the show.
They are waiting to see if the show will pay for it--errr gift them.
They are waiting to see when it works scheduling wise between the shows and their private schedules.
They always wanted a __________ time of year wedding.
Whatever the excuse---
I believe it when concrete actions are taking place and not lips moving to the beat of a publicist. When a couple is really serious, regardless of the show, certain plans will be made if only to initiate a wedding website or registry.

About a year ago this month is when she spilled that she is ready to marry Justin to the press and what you are saying about how Jillian felt about Ed is what she said about their relationship during the airing of Ed's Bachelor Pad season.

Do you know where she said that? This is all I could find from July of 2013.
OK!: So do you have any plans to get engaged in the near future?

JH: No, I’ve learned a lot from my situation with Ed [Swiderski]. There’s no rush in life and sometimes if you rush there can be repercussions. Justin and I have an incredible relationship, so for me when it happens it happens. I really feel like I’ve learned a lot from my days on The Bachelorette; getting married or engaged doesn’t define you as a couple.

They seem really happy together, but I do find it strange that they aren't engaged yet. He's 27, she's 35 and they've been dating for almost 3 years. I know that there are couples who are happily committed to each other without an engagement/marriage, but JH always struck me as someone who wanted that.

^The nose job? Yes that was greatly discussed right after she had it done.

Oh and Jillian/Ed both talked about how she didn't return the ring. They joked about selling it and splitting the profit.

that she got a nose job cos someone called it a hot dog nose? that's so sad that these comments can have such extreme impact though she's happy she did it and also that she learnt from that experence
