Good call, lavender! I was thinking the same thing after watching it, that the producers, to the end, wanted Bubba to come across as nothing short of "perfect"; wise, perceptive, compassionate, selfless, protective, blah blah blah, and what better way to convey that than with this ending? I also even suspect that the SHA producers are fully aware of how Ashley's season ended with Ben, and of some of the criticism regarding how he came across with his reaction, and wanted Bubba's reaction to be the total opposite, which it sure was, especially with him saying straight off that he saw it in Paige's eyes and on her face that he wasn't her choice. Compare that to how Ben never looked at Ashley's pained face at all and just plowed ahead with a proposal.

They really should have just renamed this episode "The Bubba Show", as they edited it, and particularly the ending, to be all about his heartbreak, and totally ignored the couple in love. That's shameful, but not surprising. The whole premise of this show, with country (good!) versus city (evil!), has always pushed this manichean agenda, and when Paige had the nerve to actually not choose their designated hero, the producers more or less declared war on her and Jeremiah with the edit, which is now causing all these devout fans to express their "moral outrage" in a decidedly "un-Christian" manner. And that's really shameful.

However, remember I uploaded Jeremiah and Paige's first one on one date, and one of their other dates to youtube? Well I was forced to delete them because someone complained about copyright infringement. I'm guessing that was actually CMT. They must be really strict with their stuff because there are tons of downloaded episodes on youtube from the Bachelor and Bachelorette, and we're allowed to keep those up. Anyway, do you think they will try to take down the Paige and Jeremiah fan videos since I used most of their clips in them?

I just wanted to say Thank You sooo much to all the posters here. I was channel surfing a few weeks ago and caught an episode of Sweet Home Alabama, I was surprised I'd never heard of it because I'm a huge Bachelor/ette fan.

So after catching up on all the episodes I'd missed, I went looking for some spoilers a couple of days ago. Without knowing who she picked in the end, I that it was really, really obvious that Jeremiah was the one for her. I finally thought I was watching a true love story. But then I kept going to all these sites that were just in love with Bubba, and didn't see any other alternative for Paige. I was so happy to find you all here, not only because you had the inside scoop on the final 1, but because you seem to be the only (aside from his facebook page) collective group of pro Jeremiah fans. It kind of redeemed my feeling on these two, after taking several hits elsewhere lol

Bubba was a really nice sweet guy, but I honestly felt like the majority of the show was a 10 episode long audition for SHA 4. I never saw the connection with Paige that others saw. Ever. My sister and I got into some heated discussions about it. lol

So anyways, Thank You, Thank you, Thank you!

San don't make the vids, because I think that CMT would be that mean to go after you again! I will never get Hollywood/TV, because why wouldn't they want people to see a snippit of a show or have a way for other countries to enjoy shows? I don't get it!

saw this on facebook and mistakenly read some of the comments.. I didn't cuss anybody out but I did speak my mind on what some had said.. Twitter was even worse.

They should have edited the part out where she said they could just google. Unfortunately I imagine a lot of people did just that. But it is hopefully keeping so many girls from doing something similar so hopefully Paige can remember that.
