Oh, I'm not saying he will not be F1 even though first 1/1 does not usually produce a F1... just that their astrology signs say they are not a good match. I'm not one who reads daily horoscopes but they are usually spot on about one's personality(in depth)if you follow what I would call professional astrologers... in my eyes. Laughing! I was just disappointed to read it, I guess I should say. That doesn't mean they will not be a great couple, obviously. It's JMO.

Here is a thought....

Graham was DeAnna's intended F1, and we know she was bananas over him. We saw that in the editing, and when he left after the Hometowns, she had a meltdown that matched or surpassed that of any contestant's meltdown on this entire series. She later said Graham was her intended F1.
Now here's the point. Graham had the very first 1-1 date in Ep. 2. It was a beach date.

This show sometimes does things in a repeating cycle (try it out one season, repeat it the next). Courtney was a 2nd Episode 1-1 this last season. Pure speculation, but who knows? From what we had to go on, it looked like a good date with Ryan. For all we know, they could repeat 2nd Ep. F1. Now, you say, just how does that happen?
We have heard several times that for several reasons - only one of which is to line up dates - they ask the lead after the first night the lead's initial idea of his/her F4, including F1.

Now say that Emily took a strong shine to Ryan. (We have heard from Chris that a few of the Bachelors took one look at F1, and that was it). She indicates that she was strongly impressed with Ryan.
Maybe it went like this: " If " she has to name an F1, maybe she will name him. Now, I am giving you a scenario here, understand. Therefore, they set him up with the first date like they did with DeAnna/Graham.
The strong attraction grows instead of wanes, and Ryan remains F1.

JP almost had an episode 2 1on 1 as well but lost to Mickey in the coin toss. I think she was physically attracted to William and he got the first 1 on 1. I think Deanna was most physically attracted to Graham and he got the first 1 on 1. For Ben, I think he was most physically attracted to Courtney but maybe had doubts and expressed those to TPTB therefore Kacie (who was also looked at as a F2 contender the first night) was given "a chance" before they unloaded Courtney on him. Brad's season was a little confusing. He found Emily, Michelle, and Ash H. the most physically appealing (which AH did get the first 1 on 1) but then Emily had to wait until ep. 3. I would guess that Emily found Ryan to be the most physically appealing to her and probably in her original F2. That first 1 on 1 usually ends up being a problem child tho.

I will never say never to Ryan as F1... Courtney should not have been F1 for many editing reasons but she was. For whatever reason TPTB wanted Ryan to have a strong fan base right out of the gate. Either because he might be 1/3 of America's newest happy family or because he will be the new Bachelor. I'm happy either way!

But isn't the first 1x1 date with someone that the lead will have fun with. Ashley on Brad's season and William on Ashley's season. I think that way it makes it a little easier for the lead to get into the "journey" and relax a little bit.

Ali said that the producers told her that she would have to wait a while on Roberto who had an Ep.3 one-on-one, so she had asked for an Ep.2 with Roberto. We could tell with what was said and done with JP that an Ep. 3 with JP was also producer generated also. (I said when I saw the flipping of the coin that we saw the edited version - the one that landed the way the producers wanted it to land).
I'm going to say that single parent Emily got an Ep. 3 one-on-one the same as the other single parents where that was the prominent story line for them: Jason, Stephanie, and Ella. (Why the producers did this, I really don't know, but it is obvious that they did. They must have their own reasons.)

CH said Ben was cavalier about the process until some point in the process when he changed his mind and decided he wanted someone at the end; however, CH made no bones that physically the attraction was for Courtney from the time she got out of the limo. Since Ben was non-commital, though, I think the producers decided to let him have a date with Courtney in the 2nd Eppie, and THEY latched onto Lindzi as the possible F1 with the typical Ep. 3 one-on-one date. There was going to be an F1 at the end of the season, and if Ben wasn't over being cavalier, the producers would have chosen Lindzi for him. That is what it looked like to me.
(Remember, it was obvious that Courtney was F1 to us only in retrospect through the editing. By that time, Ben had made his selection, so they edited that way; however, during the early process itself, according to CH, he wasn't terribly serious about finding someone at the end.)

Since the 3rd Eppie F1 one-on-one pattern has been broken, I would not be surprised to see them go with something else this time. Maybe or maybe not, but it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

DeAnna herself said that Graham - who bailed out on her after the HT - was her intended F1. He had the first 1-1 in the 2nd Episode. It was a beach date, and she snuggled up to him like a flea on a dog. Believe me, she had plenty of fun. :gotcha:

Nope.
My thinking then is that with no leaks about this date whatsoever, except the fact that it took place at Dollywood and they more than likely met Dolly Parton, this was a very private date. :sprinklehearts

Brad 2.0-- Week 3-- 1-on-1: Emily. They flew to a vineyard where they picnicked and later had dinner in a barn. She got a rose.
This was also a VERY private date. PINKHEART Emily became F1.

Granted Ashley H. was F3, she had the 1 on 1 in Week 2 at the "private" carnival, but imo Week 2 was TOO early for F1 or F2.

Chantal, F2, had the very next 1 on 1 following Emily's the next week. Week 4 when they flew to Catalina. F2, F1 and F3, first 1 on 1's week 2 - 4.

Just throwing this out there, if Emily has MF twisted around her little finger and gets to make the final decision, she is going to want as much quality one on one time with her F1 - F4 early on? Won't she be anxious to send home the ones she knows are not right for her, as someone mentioned previously, in order to concentrate all her time on getting to know the guys she feels most connected to?

Depending upon the locations, imo, those dates with fewer faces could be even more romantic heartbeat than dragging upwards to 8 guys around for 2 additional weeks. no no

I will never say never to Ryan as F1... Courtney should not have been F1 for many editing reasons but she was.

This is something to keep in mind. The pattern for many seasons was whoever had a 1-on-1 date shown in episode 3 ended up being the F1. That went out the window last season. So anything is possible and I am going to try and keep in open mind about everything. Even the guys that have later 1-on-1 dates this season could end up being the F1. We will just have to wait and see. JMO

Mr. Fleiss appears to want to make the fans happy this season, and he seems enchanted by Emily. :greenman: I am going to assume that this won't be one of those seasons like Ali had where the Bachelorette was put off with her choice of date choices and times. I am inclined to think that they maybe pampered Emily by letting her have her choices early - that is if she had any particularly strong choices. To me, that would mean, 2nd Ep and then 3rd Ep, especially since the Ep 3 pattern has been broken. That is a hunch that could be dead wrong, though, especially if they revert back to Ashley's season instead of Ben's season to pattern after.

Next, there is always a slight chance that Emily goes through the guys until she comes to one that she likes good enough to be F1. That hasn't happened, or sure hasn't happened recently, but it could. She could like the ones and have had a good time with the early dates, but none of them turned the crank in quite the right manner until she got to Ep. 4 or Ep. 5.
As I said, with the exception of Jesse (Ep.4) who took the place of intended F1 Graham (Ep.2) who left after HTs, it has been before Matt's season that we have had F1s who had 1-1s late in the season.
It was typical then for them in the short seasons to have the last 1-1 before the HTs.

The bottom line is, while patterns are good to keep in mind as guidelines to watch more closely certain people while the show is airing, they really don't have much bearing beyond that. What happens during the show varies based on the individual lead and the circumstances that develop during the filming of the show. Show patterns are formed by people viewing thins after the fact, and can often be trying to take the outcome and fit it into a pattern after the fact, rather than the outcome really truly being a part of a set pattern in the first place. All prior patterns have been broken in one way or another based on the individual lead and their circumstances. The true read of things will only occur once you see the show, interaction/chemistry with Emily, and the context of of what happens during the dates. Only then, will you know where these guys potentially fall in Emily's F4 and if any patterns come in to play at all. IMOFleiss and co. change patterns from rose placement, to adventure dates, to F1-4 premiere video montages, to mix things up all the time after 10 years.
