According to The Wichita Eagle, his fiancée, Kathy, passed away due to brain cancer in 2022.

@luvstx Yes, lots of losses and disappointments they all have faced. But I find it so refreshing they are wanting to find love again. Chock comes across as a gentleman - he'll find his person after being on this show! I thought the adverturesome part of Chock matched well with Joan - climbing Mt Kilamajaro, etc.
