Bachelor Australia - Season 11 - Anastasia Iliopoulos - *Sleuthing Spoilers*
Agent99 wrote:Have zero interest, but one contestant named. Going to take a wild stab and say she is this season's Tash, if I'm reading the 'plenty of airtime' right.source (paywall)Adrian Portelli’s ex-fiancee Anastasia Iliopoulos set to star on The Bachelors
The ex-fiancee of Melbourne’s Mr Lambo, Adrian Portelli, is understood to be part of the bevy of beauties vying for the attention of three eligible blokes on the new season of The Bachelors.
Glamorous businesswoman Anastasia Iliopoulos is set to make her reality TV debut in the reality romance series that was filmed recently in Brighton.
Iliopoulos and Portelli dated for several years before splitting in late 2022.
Iliopoulos, who has a young son from a previous relationship, has experience in property development and eCommerce and is considered “switched on, smart and great fun” by those who know her.
She is expected to get plenty of airtime on The Bachelors.
Having come out of an broken engagement it would be natural to expect Iliopoulos would embrace The Bachelors as a carefree opportunity to have an abundance of fun and maybe find love.
In a twist, it is possible that Portelli and Iliopoulos will be on air on rival stations at the same time later this year.
There is a whisper The Bachelors may hit screens late this year on Channel 10 which would put it up against The Block on Channel 9.
Portelli, the purchaser of a $39m penthouse in East Melbourne and exotic car aficionado, is expected to be seen on The Block in the buyer’s night challenge episode and has already indicated he is keen to bid on at least one of the Block properties when they go to auction in November.
The Bachelors this year are former NRL player Luke Bateman, model Ben Waddell, and Brazilian-born influencer Wesley Senna Cortes.
Channel 10 is yet to confirm the names of any of the women taking part in the show.
The Bachelors has in recent years screened in January to start Channel 10’s programming year.

Boooorrrrinnngg. If you looked up "generic Bachelor contestant" in the dictionary it would be her.
Why is her IG public? Is she really a contestant, or is this just a cheap stunt/publicity grab?

I kind of forgot this show existed for a bit there, so this is a late reply, but this line
makes me think its all lies, there's no way they'd be so stupid
anyway I agree @Bobette - so generic, I feel like we're all just collectively so bored of this kind of 'contestant' who is just there as a blatant career move.
they've done this once because this show's been in this format once. The whole article's awful.

It's a 1 hour, 4 nights/week advertising segment for fast food companies and building suppliers, masquerading as a renovation show. Middle class bogans love it.
@leavers I'm not buying that this chick is on the show any more than I bought James Parr was "confirmed" as Lead. She's nothing special and her IG is still public.

@GuardianAngel I love the Block! They tried doing an American version and a couple of Canadian ones, but they aren't nearly as good because they try to do in a few weeks what they do in a few months in Australia and New Zealand...both of whom have their own shows.
Basically there are 4 couples...usually married/dating or friends/relatives, one of whom is a tradie (works in the trades as a plumber, electrician, carpenter, etc), so they have some experience and the other does more of the decorations side.
The show gets 4 houses or apartments that need renovation. They are usually similar and often have some historical interest. They are tasked with renovating different rooms during the course of usually 3 episodes. They have budget they are given at the start and they have to allocate the funds as the see fit. While renovating each area they have challenges where the can win extra prizes like cash, gift cards for various stores to get appliances, tech stuff, extra trades, art, consultations with experts, or the get an extra point or some other type of advantage they can use to improve their chances at winning.
When they complete each room they are judged by 3 experts who each give them a score out of 10. Highest score wins that room reveal and usually extra cash or other prizes to use for their reno. After they get to check each others rooms and compare and critique.
There are usually over 40 episodes...3 per week. I usually binge watch.
After they have renovated everything, the places are put on the market and people bid on them. The one that gets the most over the set asking price wins a cash prize and they get to keep any money over the original asking price. It can be a really good chunk of change. While the other teams don't get extra cash, they also get to keep any $ over asking price.
It can be cheezy and some like to cause drama, but because it is so long you get a better feel for the contestants. It's hard to hide who you really are for that long. The Aussies and Kiwis always seem more fun and enjoyable to me. Check it out if you get a chance.

You could be the juiciest, most ripe peach, but there is still going to be someone who doesn't like peaches.

@GuardianAngel SHVideos. That is where I watched Aussie and NZ Bachelor/ette. Zero issues or viruses.
