Apparently there is also a US version with some Canadians. The host is Jerry O'Connell (whose brother Charlie was Bachelor #7) and his wife Rebecca Romijn. It premiers Oct. 5th on CBS.

Meet the 12 singles hoping to find love on The Real Love Boat

The Love Boat will soon be making another run.

CBS has revealed the cast and crew for their new reality series, The Real Love Boat, premiering Oct. 5, which combines elements of a dating show with the luxury of a romantic cruise. Twelve singles will board the ship, complete with its own captain, bartender, and cruise director (a nod to classic characters from the original series).

Hosted by Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell, the cruise will set sail throughout the Mediterranean, making ports of call in Barcelona, Marseille, Rome, Santorini, Athens, and more. The singles will search for true love, all while tasked with competing in challenges to test their compatibility with other players.

@chasus71 I will as well. Apparently the US version and the AU version both have the same start day so I will check out both in the way questions on my old English tests required...compare and contrast. I am actually looking forward to this. I hope they don't disappoint.

Anyone else watching?

The captain is the same as the AU version. I am wondering if they filmed these at the same time? Both started in Barcelona. The bartender and cruise director are different, but the ship looks the same, although this version started right on the boat. This version also has a $50,000 prize at the end along with a trip for 2. They have competitions at each stop where it seems the winner will have first dibs at picking a date.

The couples have a challenge during which they have to answer some personal questions which will add to a combination they will have once they get to the top of the stairs they have to climb.
If they lie, they won't be able to open their locks.

Brett and Brooke win even thought she thinks she is dating a priest since he lost his virginity at 24 and slept with 5 people.

Meanwhile Nicole is more concerned that Jordan admitted to cheating on 4 partners as does Nathan about Alisa cheating. Before they can really discuss anything a new lady arrives...Kendra from Canada.

Nicole sees Jordan's reaction. Things may not be looking good for her.

Nathan also is checking her out.

Nicole is hitting on Daniel and Shae-Lynn isn't thrilled.

Cruise people set up Kendra with Jordan on a date. It goes well. They are also setting up Daniel and Nicole.

They let Brooke know that Brett is sick and can't continue the journey. He probably got covid. She is upset and thinks that is it for her.

Now picking partners...

Since Brett is gone, 2 ladies are going home

Marty naturally picks Emily
Daniel picks Shay again
Nathan picks Alisa again
Jordan picks Kendra

But here comes a Dean...a model, 25 who gets to pick between Nicole and Brooke. He picks Nicole...surprising nobody...because of her dress...she showed more leg. The guy I am watching it said he would pick her because she was wearing a more revealing dress. Called it Mekel!
